La Guardia Hotel

This hotel was excellent. The room, 402, was furnished in minimalist style, with a really comfortable spacious bed, lounge and bathroom. The staff were very pleasant, effective and helpful, even when I unfortunately blooded the walls having fallen walking down a mule track from Giglio Castello, perhaps too much wine at Da Maria’s. The restaurant has an excellent view of the bay, good food and a wine list which was not overpriced. I would normally avoid hotel catering but not on this occasion. It is a long time since I have enjoyed a hotel. Simon Hanley

albergo con una posizione ottima e centrale, è raggiungibile a piedi dalla nave e si trova alla fine del passeggio con negozi e ristoranti. l'albergo ha una vista magnifica sull'argentario. ha una terrazza spettacolare dove si fanno sia la colazione (con prodotti di qualità sia salati che dolci) che la cena (non abbiamo provato il ristorante perché il soggiorno era breve e abbiamo preferito vedere il più possibile, cenando fuori), ma anche aperitivi. personale gentile e professionale. hanno risolto con molta rapidità un problema alla camera offrendoci un cambio per una stanza migliore, senza sovrapprezzo. molto bello e rilassante è anche il beach club. ci tornerei molto volentieri e lo consiglio

Tutto perfetto! Gentilezza, disponibilità, efficienza dello staff; posizione strategica con vista mozzafiato sull'Argentario; comodissimo da raggiungere dal traghetto; cura dei dettagli in tutti gli ambienti; terrazza solarium riparata e godibilissima in ogni momento della giornata...insomma un hotel all'altezza della bellezza e accoglienza di questa bellissima isola!!! Peccato solo non aver avuto più tempo a disposizione. Brava Flaminia, grazie!!!!!

La Guardia Hotel in Giglio Island is the ideal place to stay for anyone visiting this beautiful island. The location is fantastic, right by the port, with amazing views over the ocean and harbor. We stayed in a deluxe room with a balcony, and the views were absolutely spectacular – we couldn’t have asked for a better spot to relax. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, offering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. While the amenities are somewhat limited, the natural beauty of the island makes up for it, and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring all that Giglio has to offer. Breakfast was simple yet delicious, with fresh local options to start the day on a high note. One highlight of our stay was the excellent service in the restaurant, where the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially when it came to our infant daughter. It made our dining experience even more enjoyable. While the front desk staff were polite, we found them to be a bit less friendly than we had hoped. That said, they were still helpful, and we appreciated their assistance during our stay. Overall, La Guardia Hotel was a great choice for our time on Giglio Island. The views, location, and overall atmosphere were wonderful, and we would definitely return if visiting the island again. Highly recommend!

I had another perfect stay at La Guardia with my 2 daughters . We stayed in the Jr. Beach Suite that’s on the ground floor and is steps to the water and beautiful rock formations. You should venture out to all the beautiful beaches, but you could also easily just stay and enjoy the beach steps from your room . The room was comfortable and easily accommodated all 3 of us. The room’s shower is built into the rocks and has many beautiful design features . The owner, Flaminia, has done such a beautiful job restoring this hotel . Every design piece is not to be missed, from the books in the terrace to the toiletries in the room. It’s all just perfect. This hotel is an easy walk from the port. We drove from FCO and parked our car easily in the Porto S. Stefano at Fanciulli. We had many changes to our dates and all were accommodated efficiently and easily . Both Julia and Olivetta were so helpful with restaurant reservations, sights to see, etc. The restaurant here is also one of the best places to eat on the island . Be sure to make a reservation. During high season you’ll need reservations to all the good places to eat. The restaurant also serves a beautiful breakfast in the morning and maybe the best cappuccino I’ve ever had . Finally, I love the playlist at the hotel and restaurant.

Hotel di design a Giglio Porto, in una posizione tranquilla e panoramica rispetto alla vivacità del piccolo centro. L'hotel è frutto di un progetto bello e curato, animato dalla passione dei proprietari che lo gestiscono personalmente e che lo rendono vivo con la loro presenza. Tutto molto curato con una particolare attenzione al design, stanze spaziose ma essenziali, non manca nulla ma la sensazione è minimalista. Spazi comuni molto belli, la terrazza è un luogo di relax con una vista splendida, dove vengono servite la colazione e la cena. C'è la possibilità di usufruire di ulteriori spazi esterni (yoga, doccia, patio con sdraio, etc.). Personale gentile e disponibile, ci sono stati dati preziosi suggerimenti per alcune attività al di fuori dell'hotel e prenotato cene nei ristoranti dell'isola, è stato un servizio molto apprezzato. Il ristorante è ottimo, la terrazza è uno spazio di raffinata tranquillità in cui assaporare piatti di ispirazione mediterranea curati e di buona qualità, differenti dagli standard dell'isola. Da assaggiare i vini locali di uve Ansonica. La colazione è ricca di prodotti di qualità, si può solamente suggerire una maggiore varietà nelle torte, per renderla davvero perfetta. Prezzi nella media, ma la qualità complessiva del soggiorno e la passione della sig.ra Flaminia nel gestire questo luogo di relax incentivano a ritornare al più presto. Assolutamente consigliato.
