Hall Place Bed and Breakfast

The best sleep we had our entire vacation! A lovely Victorian inn with easy access to Mammoth Cave National Park. We had a wonderful breakfast as well. Wish we could have stayed longer! Owners were very friendly, and our room was very clean and welcoming.

The area is pleasant countryside and we enjoyed the grounds. Just sitting in the gazebo and on the porch felt so good and relaxing. This old inn is great to explore. The room was great and the bed was one you could slip into and sleep, sleep, sleep.

Very flat pillows and poor quality mattress. Therefore, overpriced for quality. Otherwise, very nice hosts. As far as location, it is almost on the rail tracks and I counted at least 5 times the train passing by the inn overnight. Very loud! Could not rest at all.

We had a great experience at the Grand Victorian Inn. We came to see Mammoth Caverns, and it is perfectly located to visit the cave. Our room was impeccably decorated and exactly like the photos, breakfast was great, no complaints!

Great quint restaurant in a beautiful 150 year old home turned B&B! Food was awesome and service is great! Can’t wait to go back and try their breakfast! Definitely will eat there again and thinking of taking wife there for a romantic overnight!

My wife and I had never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast in the United States before, so we were not sure what to expect. We just knew we didn’t want the typical hotel experience for this vacation. We chose Glasgow, KY, because it is close to Mammoth Cave and the approximate halfway point to our final destination. We were absolutely NOT disappointed. The owner is a wonderful, warm, and welcoming presence! She greeted us upon our arrival, introduced us to her staff, and immediately made us feel like family. She gave us a tour of the house and a brief history and then showed us to our room. We were instantly enchanted with the historic charm of the house and its accoutrements. We actually did feel comfortable and pretty much at home there at once. (It didn’t hurt, I suppose, that the owner is originally from a town very near where we live…) One nice recent addition is that she is now serving evening meals (separate charge) every day but Sunday (I think). The menu is quite original and consists largely of dishes that incorporate the meats that she smokes personally on-site. Wonderful flavor—and the interesting variety on the menu made it really tough to choose. We actually returned to Hall Place on our return visit to Glasgow on our way home (even though we were staying elsewhere) for another meal. Everything we tried was absolutely and outstandingly delicious!! Breakfast was just as delicious—and plentiful. It included a variety of breakfast meats, scrambled eggs, pancakes, juice, and coffee. It was served family-style, with everyone sitting at the same table. That encouraged conversation with the other guests, which for us was a kind of unexpected bonus. We met some other very interesting travelers. And the owner herself joined us for the meal and the conversation, which was nice. All in all, this was an outstanding experience, one of the highlights of our vacation. We highly recommend this establishment!!
