We have stayed before and were pleased to be taken back at the start of our journey into France. We were upgraded to rooms in the castle which were large and well equipped. We had booked an evening meal on our outward jouney, but warning signs appeared at check-in where one person was left to deal with a party of 36, plus preparing un-made rooms and later running the bar. We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm and placed our order for wine and food. After half an hour we were delivered a bottle of water and after another half-hour asked where our wine was.asked where our wine was , which arrived in a plastic bucket of tepid water (no ice). Ten minutes later we saw a couple who had arrived a long time after us served their meal. Asking where our food was we were told "five minutes". What arrived was truly appalling. My "prawn risotto" consisted of a small heap of barely cooked rice with four small prawns. My wife's veal and tagliatelle was a lump of flavourless, un-sauced meat in a little liquid. At least the pasta was acceptable. By then we had lost the will to eat and left most of what had been served. I saw the person in charge and told them in no uncertain terms that they and the kitchen should be ashamed of themselves. no apology was offered only "that is how we cook it here". Had we not be ben part of a large group I would have withheld most of nearly 100 euros cost. Fortunately most other diners from our group were reasonably satisfied with their meals. A pleasant evening in the bar and a delay in writng this review have not diminshed the disgust that we both feel with what we were served.

Great final stop before crossing the channel It was lovely and we really enjoyed our time. We will be back in the future.

Amazing place.

L’établissement est scindé en deux, l’ancienne métairie et le château, nous avons séjourné dans la métairie, la réception se fait au château. Je scinde cet avis en deux partie très distinctes : le logement et l’accueil. Le logement : il est tout à fait correct, propre, agréablement décoré et bénéficie du parking juste devant sa chambre. Rien à redire. L’accueil : je suis très rarement négatif dans mes commentaires mais ....... La réception étant fermée ( définitivement ? ) du côté métairie vous avez un parlophone qui vous met en communication avec l’accueil côté château.... pas de chance ça grésille, il y a de l’écho, on ne comprend rien sauf que l’on doit se rendre au château ...OK. nous nous déplaçons jusque là et une dame nous fait le check in ( sourire non compris ), nous avons quelques difficultés à la comprendre ( il faudrait arrêter de manger les mots et ne pas donner l’impression de débiter un texte d’acceuil ) mais soit .... La partie château dispose de spa et cela était une des raisons du choix de cet hôtel, lorsque nous avons demandé cet accès ( probablement en supplément mais cela n’est vraiment pas le problème ) la dame nous a, à nouveau, débité un texte où nous avons compris qu’il fallait le faire en ligne ..... mais bon sang, proposez de le faire pour nous, ou au strict minimum, ayez un bout de papier avec l’adresse du site où faire la réservation ..... nous venons de faire 200 bornes, nous avons visité le coin, nous demandons du service ! Inutile de dire que le spa et le petit déjeuner n’ont pas fait partie des supplément que l’hôtel aurait pu gagner.

Not again The BW hotel itself was closed and had to check in at another hotel, 150 meters away. This is also where the breakfast is served the next morning, so had to walk back and forth through the rain twice. The room was in another, 3rd building. Also, I booked this hotel because it had a gym and although the pictures and description say otherwise, the lady at the reception (of the other hotel) said there is no gym at all. So another walk through the rain for nothing. So all toghether a bad experience for quite a big price
