"I recommend this to those who are traveling to Zugspisee or Alpspisee by rental car. It is a little far from the city, but you can see the morning sun and sunset over the snow-covered mountains from the hotel. There is also a small lake if you take a walk right near the hotel. In particular, you can walk to the mart right in front of the hotel and there is a local German restaurant 10 minutes away, so you can park at the hotel and have a beer comfortably."

"- Located next to the main street (loud cars) - Stressful and unwelcoming check-in experience; felt like staff "didn't have time" for guests. - Overall lack of friendliness and attention from staff, not what's expected from a 5-star hotel. - Housekeeping inconsistencies: room not cleaned properly, missing bathrobe, cup left unwashed, no hot water on the first day. - Unpleasant check-out; no inquiry about the quality of our stay. - Even after paying a dog fee, no amenities provided for the pet, e.g., food bowl or blanket. - Have stayed in many upscale hotels and rarely felt this unwelcome."

"I would give this hotel 6 stars if I could. Barbara and her mother Christine are very welcoming and kind. We were in Munich, and on a whim chose to drive down to the countryside and spend the rest of our time. Found and booked this hotel online. The location is fantastic! Walking distance to the train station and several cafes and restaurants. The hotel offers a nice little breakfast from 8am- 10 am and has a small bar that you may buy from on the honor system. We opted for a bigger apartment- like room (204) that was very clean, spacious and superbly decorated. The view from our balcony was incredible! This is the place to stay if you are wanting a quiet, very beautiful, laid back, relaxing place to stay!"
