"Modern style small hotel in a rural setting with wonderful peaceful views of the surrounding countryside. A variety of walks from the doorstep, lovely dip pool through the gardens, bigger than expected (do need decent footwear as it is in a hillside setting) with a number of shaded areas to sunbathe. Slightly limited breakfast (though absolutely sufficient), honesty bar and lots of good food. Dinner was delicious (be warned if you order the lamb, it is enormous though delicious!). A really enjoyable and peaceful stay"

"Lovely welcome after a delightful walk along the river. The manager showed us round and explained the various walks on offer. He explained the honesty bar system .The food was nice ,especially the locally reared lamb. Be warned it’s a HUGE portion. Rooms are rustic, clean and functional. It is a peaceful, tranquil place in amazing countryside. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and know the local area well. I would love to come back and do the walks on horseback"
