Motel 6 Greenville, SC - I-85 Near Downtown

The cleanliness of the Hotel is terrible, I had to look for another hotel and in the end I ended up spending more money.

Not great, but the price was right. I requested a 1st floor, non-smoking room. I called ahead to let them know that I would be late checking in. When I got there, I was told that there weren't any 1st floor, non-smoking rooms available. I could have one or the other. I went with the 1st floor since I have health issues with my feet. I didn't expect the room to smell as awful as it did. It was horrible and my clothes smelled for days afterwards. One of the 2 fire sprinkler heads was covered in painter's tape. The next morning the lady at the front desk told me that the room had not just been painted, that the tape is sometimes on them for months. She did not seem at all concerned that this would be a fire code violation. There was also a bug in my room crawling across the dresser. She said that the had just treated for bugs and it must be a leftover. She did refund me $20 for my 1 night stay. So, I appreciated that.

You get what you pay for Room smelled like smoke despite nonsmoking from. Requested new room and that one smelled too. Multiple bugs and dirty bathroom. Served its purpose for one night
