Royalton Hideaway Saint Lucia, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort – Adults Only

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Royalton in Saint Lucia, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Their warm hospitality made all the difference. The location was absolutely stunning—breathtaking views of the ocean, lush tropical surroundings, and the perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean, with a private swim up pool that provided the most incredible sunsets.

The Royalton in St.Lucia was quite a disappointment. The customer service was terrible. Some of the people were rude. The Diamond service was the worst we ever had. Always running out of top shelf liquor. The best thing about the hotel was the D.J by the Hideaway, Joseph Byron set the mood at night and at the Bar and Grill lounge. The Bar and grill had the best entertainment and food. I would not care to visit this resort again.

The Hideaway at Royalton St. Lucia is a resort with wonderful potential and some standout moments, alongside a few experiences that fell short. Mornings were a highlight—breakfast offered plenty of choice and the lunch buffet was consistently satisfying. Garzi, the Italian restaurant, was absolutely amazing and a true culinary highlight. We tried to visit the seafood venue, but unfortunately had to leave when the kitchen was experiencing “technical difficulties.” The pool scene is lively and fun, and the main pool bar was fantastic. The leading female bartender was not only skilled but also friendly, attentive, and truly added warmth to the experience. That said, the resort isn’t without its shortcomings. Guests who expect flawless upkeep may be distracted by some visible wear and housekeeping oversights. Access to fresh beach towels was a constant frustration—there were none available for an entire day—and waiting on drinks was often longer than expected, partly due to bars running low on glasses. Stained beach cushions at both pool and beach areas further detracted from the atmosphere. Most disappointing, however, was a serious lapse in guest security. Having money stolen directly from our room by housekeeping, coupled with a lack of acknowledgment or compensation, left a lasting negative impression. In summary: the Hideaway offers a beautiful setting and wonderful dining moments, especially Garzi, along with friendly staff at certain venues. But operational inconsistencies, service hiccups, and the unresolved theft issue hold it back from reaching the standard it aspires to.

Let's start with check-in... disorganized mess. The front desk staff couldn't care less about friendly service. I booked and paid for my trip in April, lost my card on another trip and since I couldn't produce the card I booked with, I had to pay for my stay AGAIN, per policy. And no manager on site at 4pm (seriously?!?) Paid for an oceanview room, we were put in building 2 facing the pool. Went to address it and since you can crane your neck in the corner of the balcony and see the ocean, it's ocean view. The room wreaked of mold, so much so that all of our clothes smelled like it when I got home and dumped my suitcase. You also had to shower quickly as the drain was so slow the water would get close to going over the shower pan. Our room was clean 1 out of 6 days. You could request water but would never get it. I had to go down to the front desk and demand to take some with me to the room. Food was hit or miss at the buffet but they had one waitress that kept your water full and a smile on her face, she was the best thing the royalton has to offer! The restaurants we couldn't get into half of them even though the resort wasn't busy. Its off season. We did eat the Hibachi place and Dorado. Both were good, Dorado was out of something on the menu everytime we were there. Room service was gross. The staff gave the overall impression that you the guest were an inconvenience to them, no matter the tip frequency. The exceptions were 2 or 3 people we encountered and tipped well. This resort claims to be a Marriott property but as a titanium elite you get NO PERKS! An additional joke. So now I'm home and get to hassle with the credit card company and this subpar resort to get the duplicate charge refunded. I certainly don't want to pay for this disaster more than once. Please take your hard earned money and business to a resort that prides themselves on solid customer service.

This is NOT a true adults only resort. It is shared with a family resort and only thing blocking is a glass wall. All restaurants are shared. Food at the buffet is sub par at best. Restaurants are mainly closed Mon-Wed making it hard to get a reservation. Nexus tours at the resort is awful too. Booked an excursion, waited at the pick up location on our ticket. Bus only came to the main entrance….left us. Not worth the money at all!! Will not come back. This is the Carnival Cruises of All Inclusive.
