Stunning grounds, lovely hotel room, lovely breakfast, not sure what facilities they had to offer but everything else was lovely.

The hotel has a beautiful location. The antique building has been kept in excellent condition. We chose to stay in the Feature Double Room-old Hall. The room was very spacious, with seating area. A coffee machine was also available. Cool drinks in the fridge. Breakfast was delicious, individually cooked, with a wide choice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this hotel

Arrived for afternoon tea for my grans 90th birthday. No signs for disabled access however when staff were free I did ask where it was and they were helpful and said it was out the back and then had to use the intercom to get into the building. We then saw our table and at this point there was 4 of us out of 6 and one of the staff loudly said where is everyone? So I said on their way we have come together. The waiting staff didn’t seem to know what was going on although not even busy! We then had our drinks order taken and then once we were all together we ordered the food. 3 traditional and 3 savoury afternoon teas, we then only got 2 pots of tea for 6 people? The food was unbelievably dry and unpleasant…. Apart from the fruit scones they were lovely. It then occurred to us that the savoury tea had not come out with the scotch egg? Once raised they said oh our menus are 2/3 years out of date, which I find terrible. We wouldn’t come again, food terrible and waiting staff need serious guidance.

We had an Amazing stay all staff were lovely and all service was perfect. We stayed in the hummingbird hut and it was very high quality and finished to a great standard. Mark was great looking after us afternoon, evening and morning.

Lovely stay. Clean, lovely room. Staff excellent especially Ruth who was very attentive and impeccably well mannered. Lord Gisborough was delightful and how fantastic greeting his guests in the evening.

Excellent stay. The staff are brilliant, always a smile to greet us. We stayed in Kittiwake Hut which is finished to a high standard. We will return next year. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Warm, welcoming and imposing, in a lovely location. This is a quality hotel with large comfortable rooms & excellent bathrooms. Food in the restaurant was the only let down as the quality of cooking varied over the 4 nights we were there. Some dishes such as Mushroom Risotto were really excellent whereas the Baked Cod was over done. There was a huge choice at breakfast time. We would definitely return.

The exterior building is magnificent and the interior matched the exterior. The staff were all friendly and informative. The restaurant and bar grill menu were not extensive but reasonable; the quality of the food was excellent. Our room was in the Woodlands wing behind the main house. The bedroom ensuite was large, with twin sinks, a bath and separate shower, all of which were immaculately clean. We had a king sized bed, which was very comfortable, within the bedroom there bedside cabinets one USB charging point on the left (ideally there would be one eitherside; in addition a tea/coffee cabinet containing a kettle and tea/coffee. There was also large built-in wardrobe, within which a spare pillow, iron and ironing board are stored. The room also has a TV, Telephone and additional USB charging points. Soft furnishings consistent of three armchairs, one of these was looking very tired. The view from the window was nothing to boast about.

Absolutely fantastic place and people treated very well from before we arrived.On setting off to get a phone call and they upgraded us without cost.Onarrival was greeted with very enthusiastic people who couldn't do enough.We had medical needs and they liased with health company and it was all sorted for our arrival and extra to this we arrived in room where there was a voucher for cake and drinks for both of us. Can't thank everyone enough for there service and smiles made our stay very enjoyable.
