On a quick weekend trip to Seoul, I booked this place after seeing many online recommendations, staying just one night. My overall impression was that it's all style and no substance. While the exterior design is fantastic, the guest rooms were disappointing across the board—from soundproofing and cleanliness to in-room facilities and decor. It felt more like an upscale hostel, and perhaps a longer stay would be slightly better.
**Cleanliness:** The hygiene was subpar. There was a foul smell from the drain, and waking up to that stench in the morning was incredibly annoying. We also encountered many small flying insects, and I even spotted dead bugs upon check-in, indicating a lack of thorough cleaning.
**Room Environment:** The room was cramped. There was barely enough space for a 20-inch suitcase and no room to spare. The sink occupied a large area, directly opposite the bathroom, making the pathway extremely narrow. The bed creaked loudly with every turn, and the power outlets were inconveniently placed.
**Location:** Decent. It's about a 10-minute walk, and there's a 7-Eleven conveniently located downstairs.
**Service:** I didn't experience much in the way of service. I arrived quite late, and the self-check-in process was convenient. However, when issues arose, there was no one available to assist immediately.
**Facilities:** Very well-equipped. B1 (basement level 1) offers a gym, a self-service kitchen, and a shared common area.

The staff were accommodating and nice. They gave me any service I needed. Gym was nice and spacious. I loved how there was a convenience store on the 2nd floor. The bed was always done everyday. Would stay again 9.5/10

Spending a night in a room fully decorated with Cinnamoroll—would it be worth it?
I expected it would be, and so I booked the Cinnamoroll character room at Novotel Suites Ambassador Yongsan.
My child was even happier than I had imagined, and we were able to enjoy a truly relaxing time together.
The swimming pool was a bit small, but since there weren’t many people at the time we used it, we were able to enjoy a peaceful swim.
The food package included in the Cinnamoroll room package was perfect for our hungry post-swim time. It tasted great and came with pizza, steak, salad, and drinks—an excellent combination.
However, despite booking for two adults and one child, the room was only prepared for two people in terms of towels, slippers, and bottled water. That lack of attention to detail was a bit disappointing.
Also, the robe and plush toy provided as part of the Cinnamoroll amenities weren’t packed in anything, which made them inconvenient to carry.
It would be great if the hotel could consider things more from the guest's perspective.

The stay was ok, except that the ice bucket and cup was left uncleared.
Location was great, connected to Yongsan station via a sheltered walkway. Take exit 3 towards Seoul Dragon City and take the lift to level 1 to the lobby.
Nice cafes and restaurants in the Sin Yongsan area by bus..
Back to the hotel - the concierge tagged my bags to another name. I had to unlock my tablet with my fingerprint to prove it's my bag.. (my fault for losing the ticket and yay for security). 🤣
Featuring 196 guestrooms, the hotel is built sustainably. The tranquility of the rooms with their modern design, as well as the infinity pool and indoor swimming pool, the creative French dining restaurant and lounge bar, along with the contemporary art pieces, will enchant guests. From our 20th-floor lobby, take in the serene poetry of the softly glowing Han River and the lush Bamseom under the tranquil night sky, a gift of nature's calm. Welcome to Hotel Naru Seoul - MGallery.

Exactly 20 years ago, during my teenage years, I visited Korea with my mother on a Hong Kong tour group when the Korean Wave was booming. Funny enough, I even stopped watching K-dramas after that, haha. This time, two decades later, I wanted to retrace those youthful steps and came back again. Seoul has truly improved since then and is now very welcoming to Chinese tourists. Traffic can be heavy, but it's remarkably orderly. Speaking as a native speaker of both Chinese and English, I can say the hotel's location is excellent, my room had a great view, and the front desk staff spoke fluent English, explaining everything very clearly. Room cleanliness was also top-notch. I mostly took taxis, but when I walked out for meals, I noticed the subway station was conveniently very close. Downstairs, just across a small street, there's a 7-Eleven. The hotel's room service food was quite acceptable, even by Korean standards. I was out exploring from morning until I returned to sleep each night, so I didn't get a chance to use many of the other facilities. Overall, I give it a positive review and would definitely consider staying here again.

Overall: Great stay, helpful staff, clean, great amenities
arrived around midnight for check in and whole process was very fuss free but if you need to contact a staff after front desk closes, you need to wait awhile but nonetheless very helpful staff still
amenities are amazing it's like a small apartment and equipped with more than enough amenities, great for those with winter jackets because of their styler, can sanitise it and clothes can be washed conveniently as room is equipped with washer and dryer. Convenient store food can be microwaved in the room itself too! Closest convenient store is right behind the hotel like 1min walk and another is about 4min walk away which is bigger and opens till late.
station is nearby and has lift and escalators at all exits so it's extra convenient
highly recommended for those staying long haul

Room is quite small. Had 2 bars of used soap, a used toothpaste and a used wash cloth. Cold water in the wash sink is out of order in our room so we had to be extra cautious or get scolded with hot water when brushing our teeth. This is just a place to sleep not to feel comfortable. Overall a 2.2/5. The added .5 because they do provide new towels daily, free water and room cleaning.
This was my first time staying at this kind of ”hotel,” and it was a truly unique experience.
Pros first:
1. The location is fantastic, just a two-minute walk from Hongik University subway station Exit 7, and the area is bustling.
2. The room feels like a Korean home, with a homey feel. It can accommodate up to four people.
3. It's fully equipped with everything you need for cooking, cooking, microwave, washing machine, refrigerator—everything is there.
4. No one was there to assist you throughout the entire stay. The room door code was sent to you via Ctrip half an hour before check-in.
Cons:
1. It's on the fourth floor, and there's no elevator!!!
2. The overall cleanliness is acceptable, but the hotel is definitely dated. The decor feels like it was built 20 years ago, and the interior is also dated. There are also quite a few moth flies in the room (the nastiest black bugs you'd find in the bathroom...).
3. The owner must have been upset by a previous guest, but their deliberate display of disrespect is still unpleasant.
● Leaving the air conditioner on when you go out and not conserving electricity will result in a fine. ● Exceeding the permitted number of guests will incur a fine, even for temporary visitors.
● Tampering with switches will incur a fine.
● Damaging or damaging items will incur a fine.
● This and that, and they kept mentioning it through Ctrip and Korean chat apps... I'm scratching my head. It's not going to get that bad... Just mention it once, there's no need to keep reminding. They even specifically emphasized the 24/7 surveillance system, which scared me enough to even search the room for hidden cameras.
Overall, the flaws outweigh the advantages. The price is a bit high, but the location is great. If you're a group of four or fewer, consider staying here, as you can buy your own groceries and cook your own meals.
However, for someone like me on a business trip, it's not really suitable. This was my one-time experience.

Very nice apartment, close to the subway entrance, many food and supermarkets nearby, very convenient for shopping, I like the layout of the room, it is also very clean, and the room is fully equipped. The only drawback is that there are sometimes racing ***** in one side of the room at night, which makes a little noise, but everything else is very good! Recommended!

MMomo on the roadSolaria Hotel Review
Cleanliness:
The hotel is absolutely clean. Rooms are cleaned every two days, but fresh towels are provided daily in a basket left at your door, which I found very convenient.
Staff & Services:
The staff are very friendly and cheerful. I requested an extra blanket, and housekeeping delivered it within just five minutes—very responsive and efficient service.
Location:
Excellent location right in the heart of Myeongdong shopping street. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the airport bus station (6001/6015), making it very convenient for travelers.
Room Layout:
I really liked that the toilet and shower are in separate rooms. This made it much more convenient for me and my partner to get ready at the same time.
Added Value:
As a coffee lover, I really appreciated that Nespresso capsules were refilled and restocked every day—a great added touch!
Summary:
Overall, I had a great experience at Solaria Hotel and would highly recommend it.
CCKYNKSThe hotel is very new, everything is clean, the room is average size. The check in process was smooth however before they knew I was a Bonvoy member they hinted that the room wasn’t ready as the official check in time was 4pm (we arrived at 2:30pm)
Then they said that I could get the room now because I was a Bonvoy member. It make it sound like the reception wouldn’t help the client unless they were members of their group
GGuest UserStayed with my child. I've previously stayed at hotels of this brand many years ago and always found the overall environment pleasant and the breakfast quite good. This location is convenient for dining and shopping local brands (especially cosmetics), with fried chicken and BBQ places easily accessible on foot. However, this time, the hotel felt quite out of the way for our itinerary, resulting in a less satisfying overall experience and poor value for money.
HHuanhuanHyphenExcellent location with easy transport access. The rooms are spacious and offer great views. There's a mall conveniently located right downstairs.
Our suite was incredibly spacious and provided fantastic views of the temple directly across the street. Having two bathrooms was a significant convenience, and the microwave was an added bonus!
The small mall below the hotel offers numerous dining choices, including a popular madeleine shop, a CU convenience store, and a coffee shop.
The hotel is close to the subway station, making Myeongdong easily accessible by taxi or bus.
Just a heads-up: the hotel's front desk isn't on the ground floor; you'll need to take the elevator up to the lobby.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from Exit 14 of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park subway station (though my navigation suggested 10 minutes via main roads, there's a convenient shortcut). The lobby on the 14th floor is very spacious. The room was impressively large, bigger than other properties of the same brand I've stayed at, including one nearby and another in Jeju Island (this is my third time staying with this chain). The bed was nothing special, about 1 meter wide, but perfectly adequate for a solo traveler. If I return to the area, this would absolutely be my top choice! The attached photo is of Hongdae – I completely forgot to take pictures of the hotel itself!
AAnonymous UserFood options are conveniently located downstairs, and the hotel itself is impeccably clean. The surrounding area offers excellent shopping opportunities and pleasant views. A Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk was incredibly helpful, which is why I choose to stay here for all my business trips.
Cleanliness: Spotless
Facilities: Modern
Location: Compact but extremely convenient
SSaipanFamilyLocation was excellent. 5 min walk to the subway and 1 stop away from Myeongdong. Seoul Station was also less than 10 min walk away. There was a 7-11 nearby and a few restaurants within walking distance. There’s a restaurant/bar on the bottom floor and the lobby/reception area is on the 2nd floor with cafe. Besides the two staff at the reception desk and the cleaning staff, there were no other staff to assist around the building. The room included soap, shampoo, conditioner, but everything else you could purchase from the front desk. One night it was late and raining hard, and all the restaurants were closed and the one front desk staff helped us to order delivery because everything on the delivery sites were in Korean and required a SK phone number. We greatly appreciated her help. I would stay here again if I wanted to be close to Myeongdong and Namdaemun.
CCherfyingThough the hotel is a bit old, the facilities provided are enough for a pleasant stay.
Besides, hotel staff is nice, there is a microwave in lobby, and free water and coffee being provided.
The location is convenient, within walkable distance to 2 metro stations (of line 2 and 4), so that it is easy to access to other places.
Ssolshineokay. no elevators, be ready. the hotel is on the 3rd and 4th floor of a building (korean floor system) and thankfully the front desk person helped us, along with another traveller. they kept our luggage while we strolled outside waiting for check in. the process was fast, and they gave us one key. i wish we had more keys or at least a passcode bc we were three but it wasn’t the end of the world. the room has two bunk beds and a bathroom, not very spacious but we stayed only one night and it did the job. it was clean and neat, not much to say. the staff was friendly and the place was quiet, although since the building is right in front of a street, it can get loud inside the room when the window is open. good experience overall
