If you value your bicycle and it’s security overnight then don’t stay here. Owner was adamant no bicycle could enter the building, not even lifting it along corridor and through room to keep on the fenced in terrace. Nor lifting over the fence onto the outside terrace. He was concerned we’d scuff the walls and dirty the floor. Fair enough if it was freshly decorated and pristine but decor was dated (including vinyl wood-effect wall panels which could be easily wiped clean) and faded cheap carpets. We were offered a flimsy metal unlocked shed for the bikes out the back of the building and open to the road. Relying on our own bike lock which is not the strongest as we’re bike touring so can’t carry the big gold standard locks. Most expensive place we’ve stayed in 6 weeks bike- touring in New Zealand and the least welcome we’ve felt. Bikes were fine but we spent a night worrying about them.
