Econo Lodge Hagerstown I-81

Decided to take a little staycation with my wife. It worked out well.

Booking through ******* got us put in the worst wing of this property where the rooms reek of cigarettes and **** even though it’s a non-smoking facility. We declined that room and were “upgraded” to another room up the hallway. That room’s TV didn’t work and the bathroom was flooded when we walked in. The host then “upgraded” us to another room that sufficed. Paid $10 for a box of detergent and one wash/dry. Dryer never did dry clothes and had to have housekeeping finish drying our clothes the next morning. Overall, these hotels, which seem to be bought up foreigners, are predominantly rude to guests and really only care about money and not caring about customers.

When we opened the door to our room there was an other couple naked in the bed. They screamed at us to get out. The manager gave us the next room. The couple in the first room kept us up most of the night with what seemed to be a party. On top of all this the manager changed us $10 more for what he called “a room upgrade”. We were extremely tired from driving more than 8 hours. Just a total disaster for us
