The room was clean and fresh, soaps and other delightful touches were avaiable, bed was comfy, and comfy, pillows were nice. Even though it was a touch hot you cant control the weather and a fan was already up and running in the room to aid in moving the air and creating a cooler room, the staff were kind friendly and poliet, we had breakfasts while staying here and the contiental options are fresh with fresh juices tea coffee and a selection of cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurts, The hot breakfast was freshly cooked a fine sausage and just lovely cooked, it was fresh hot and delicious. The parking was the only small niggle we had but was sorted out with assistance from the staff on site at the time. We would definetly use The Crown hotel again for our passing through. 9/10

Superb service and food. I booked the disabled room which was fantastic and so well appointed. Fraser could not do enough to help me. Cannot praise this hostelry enough. Thank you.

Dont listen to bad reviews. They must be extremely fussy people. This place is fantastic ! Great location. we stayed for a nearby wedding, only a 5 -10 minute taxi ride away. Really lovely friendly staff, very clean, comfortable rooms with tea / coffee making facilities in rooms. I had booked two additional rooms for our friends. we all had dinner in the afternoon, plenty served on the plate and really tasty food, and we all enjoyed our breakfast in the morning. Can't rate this place enough thankyou we will be back

Do not stay here! Rude obnoxious staff! Making comments behind our backs from check in to breakfast in the morning! Yes we heard everything! However there was 1 polite gentleman, kudos to him he is obviously fit for hospitality! The rooms were spacious and clean but would not return because of the unprofessional staff.

We booked this because it was convenient and the price was reasonable but I wouldn’t bother going back. We had a family room: it was just about OK for three but would be a squeeze for four. The main bed was a bit small; the sofa bed was very uncomfortable as the mattress was very thin. Water pressure in the bathroom was weak so showering was a struggle. But the room was warm and clean. The food available at breakfast was quite good though the choice was limited. Coffee was poor.

Friendly welcome, room good, breakfast spot on. Arrived, hotel does say limited parking. You need to aim for the back of the hotel and there are only a few spaces available to the hotel. Not a problem, we parked in a long stay car park( for free) 5 mins walk away. Checking in was fine, room was perfectly adequate. Beds comfortable, bathroom and shower clean and worked well. Room was warm but opened a window. Didn’t have high expectations for breakfast but couldn’t fault it. Coffee/ tea, cereal, orange juice, croissants and then a choice of various cooked items.Yes it’s a room above a pub but well worth the rate we paid .

The room was in poor condition holes in the wall,water pressure was low so showering was difficult,the room was over the main entrance and where all the users of the pub congregated to smoke and make noise.Breakfast was average and not value for money and was not priced as advertised on booking web site one of our party requested no eggs due to allergy but when the breakfast arrived it had eggs on and the waitress was rude and felt there was an attitude and we had to justify why we was allergic to eggs standard practice is that question would be asked when ordering any food also we ordered brown brown toast and was given white bread we would rate the crown hotel stay as a poor experience and some staff seemed to have an attitude problem I would not rate this as a good experience and the price of £104.00 is extortionate for the privilege of my stay

My family booked this hotel, taking 5 rooms as we were attending a wedding locally. Although the rooms were ok, and the breakfast was good, when we returned from the wedding about 12.30 we had been locked out. A previous guest had put the latch down and we could not use the lobby key as directed. By sheer luck friends of the owners walked by and rang the owners- who had gone out themselves to a local pub. We were left outside for 30 mins after this call while they finished their drinks. Not impressed!

We were given Room 3 which must have the worst view ever. A huge extractor fan and rubble on the roof. So noise from that until the kitchen closed. Bedroom very very tired. We paid £104 for this very small room!! To be honest this room should be not let out with the eyesore outside the room.
