The food was absolutely delightful—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every meal felt thoughtfully prepared, with a great variety of local and international dishes. The breakfast buffet was a standout, offering everything from traditional Sri Lankan fare to continental options. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in comfort and enjoy gourmet meals in a serene setting. Will definitely return!

It was a nice experience, Hasini is a very nice girl, she is on the gate on reception, we enjoyed the pool a lot, staff is friendly, we had a good stay and the views are the best

We went there over the weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and it was a wonderful day filled with lots of memories. Mr. Ransara arranged a special treat for our anniversary, and the service was superb. The food was also absolutely delicious. The Sooriya Resort and Spa is the perfect place to relax, with a calm and peaceful vibe. Highly recommended!

We travelled with Intrepid tours and had a fantastic rest day. The customer service was friendly and helpful at all times. We enjoyed cocktails by the pool and an afternoon swim and turtle feed. My only feedback is the PowerPoints only allow for the square prongs not the round prongs so beware for your adapters. The usb power points were available to keep our phones charged. We look forward to staying again soon!

We stayed in this resort from 7 to 9 July 2025. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere and boasts a private beach with stunning sea views. Yes, the latter stunning view of the sea is the only acceptable fact. The rest including the condition of the hotel and its food is nothing but a myth for the following reasons: a. The rooms and its fitting are in a state of poor maintenance. In particular the Air Conditioner can wake a dead man. Door locks to the balcony is anything but a unique contraption; b. The private beach as advertised is not owned by the hotel but by the Sri Lankan Coastal Authority and it so happens that this hotel is next door to this location. One gets into this ‘private beach’ at his/ her own risk; c. Breakfast buffet is dependent on the quorum of guests available at ones visit. There is no doubt they have the capacity to produce good quality food BUT cost cutting measures overtake the comfort of the innocent tourist who gets ****** into the advertisement myth. The dining hall has only none working air conditioner and it is awfully hot and uncomfortable during the afternoons to go here for meals. d. Pillows are a joke, they are thin as a folded bedsheet. In short, the owner and the CEO each live overseas. The place is active during the visit of Russian tourists from September to April. The hotel seems to keep its doors opened based on the income earned during this period. Perhaps, this place should advertise its availability to only Russian Tourists only. To an experienced traveler it appears this Hotel is being ‘run to the ground’ and awaits a fast sale.

I spent several nights at this lovely hotel. Couldn’t fault it. All the staff especially Sarath and Hasini were most helpful And professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Breakfast also plentiful
