Kaunis historiallinen hotelli ja erinomainen aamiainen

There are some good things about this B&B: it’s a lovely old building, close to the city centre and 20 minutes walk from the castle. There are a couple of shopping malls nearby for essentials, and they have good, free coffee in the kitchen. Unfortunately there are also some drawbacks. We booked the “comfort double” room without realizing quite how small it is: just 3 x 3 metres. Fortunately there’s a sitting area on the upper floor where we sent our evening. There’s nothing the owners can do about it but the road outside is dug up for major engineering works, so the view from our room was of a construction site.

I loved this place! It is cozy and very clean. The rooms are located in an old wooden house, and my room had an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The room had also a balcony and a mini fridge with complimentary drinks, and the lobby had another fridge with items to purchase. Tea and coffee was available in the lobby, as well as board games and books to borrow. The house is old and walls and doors are thin, so you have to be very quiet not to disturb other guests, and hope they do the same. The bed was great, and had linen sheets that felt luxurious. There was shampoo in the bathroom. Breakfast was served in a charming café in the next building. The breakfast was not a buffet, but served on a tray, and it included a boiled egg, yoghurt with jam and granola, juice, a bread roll with salad and cucumbers, mini tomatoes, apple slices, a meringue, and as much coffee/tea you wanted. The breakfast was good, although a bit too sweet for my taste. I warmly recommend this place to anyone who is not looking for a traditional hotel stay but is happy with less service and wishes to experience something local and unique.

Cozy and nostalgic haven in the middle of the town Beautiful and unique hotel with an authentic B&B aesthetic, a cozy room with a comfy bed and very friendly service. The breakfast was also very tasty. The hotel is in an old house, so noise suppression is not the best, but that is something that just comes with the territory. Hämeenlinna is a pretty quiet town, so outside noises are not a problem. Heartily recommended as an alternative to more boring and conventional hotels.

Henkilökunta oli avuliasta ja ystävällistä. Huone oli erittäin siisti ja viihtyisä. Aamiainen oli hyvä!

Todella sympaattinen ja ihana huone. Aamupala oli erittäin maukas ja sopivan kokoinen. Plussaa ehdottomasti mahdollisuus syödä aamupala 9-16 välillä ilman mitään kiirettä aamussa.
