El Almendron Rosado

Truly amazing stay with an amazing hostess who made us feel very welcome and helped us a lot in getting around / getting to know the city! The neighborhood people are super friendly and the breakfast is extremely delicious! Loved the mini pancakes with jam!

A home away from home. The staff (Luca, Latizia, and Ariadna) were friendly, warm and caring. I stayed for 11 days and enjoyed my time there! The area Vedado made for me Havana a relaxing experience as Havana Vieja (the man tourist centre) is all-consuming.

We are two women from the USA in our late ‘70s who were so very happy at El Almendron Rosado, where we stayed both at the beginning and end of our two-week stay in Cuba for a total of five nights. Both Laritza (with fluent English) and Anna (with a giant heart) made us at home in the lovely front room, full of light and with a small balcony overlooking the mostly quiet street scene. Breakfast was large and delicious. They helped us with every need, picked us up and dropped us off at the airport, and arranged a fabulous collectivo (shared taxi) for our cross-island trip to Trinidad for $35 apiece. This is definitely the way to travel in Cuba, and this is definitely the place to stay in Havana.

Rooms, location (Vedado), breakfast and the staff were all perfect! Highly recommended. Staff also suggested a few restaurants and club for the night and they were grate. They also organize our transfer to Varadero with a great chauffeur.

This place became our home from home: we loved staying at El Almendron Rosado. Laritza, George and Anarella looked after us so wonderfully, giving us all great tips for eating out, for travelling around, for finding la vida Cubana, and booked cars and casa particulares for us for our trips into Viñales and Las Terrazas. They changed our money for us at a reasonable rate, handling more money than most Cubans make in a year for our tourist lifestyles, and there are safes in the rooms but you don’t need to worry: these are some of the kindest and most honest people you’ll meet. Whenever we stay in Havana, this is where we’ll come. What a city; what people. 10/10 heartily recommend. FYI the B&B is on the first floor up some stairs, so isn’t wheelchair friendly.

Bellissimo appartamento completamente ristrutturato. Io ero nella prima stanza pulitissima con bagno nuovo e pulito aria condizionata e frigobar con acqua e birre. Bellissimo balconcino esterno sul quale potevo gustare le ottime e ricche colazioni preparate da Laritza. Il surplus oltre ai consigli di Luca il proprietario è stata Laritza ottimi consigli su tutto mi ha aiutato per tutti gli spostamenti e mi ha data ottimi consigli per star quidado en l'habana. Ottima esperienza lo consiglio.
