Amazing hotel with amazing staff. They really made my partners birthday, all unexpected but certainly appreciated. They made the bed up with flower and leaves and brought to the room cake and fruit. The lobster at the Beach Bar is lovely and quite reasonable in price. Special thanks to Chef Lakhi and to our room cleaner, Aslam, both hardworking and friendly. The snorkeling at the beach bar was great. We were lucky enough to swim with a turtle. Plenty of sun beds. We had a deluxe room with a spa and it was very spacious. The restaurant served a range of food, we did not go hungry. Transport to Gan was easy and well arranged. Travel around the island was via a buggy and you just call up to be picked up. Definitely recommend. Thank you to all the staff.

We have just come back from 10 days at Canareef. Having read some reviews I was a little apprehensive that my 2 children (11 and 13) would not enjoy it as much so I wanted to write a review for people looking to go. Food: plenty to eat- a few days my fussy child wasn’t over keen but she always found something. There isn’t chips / wedges everyday but actually this meant she tried other foods and we all found new foods we liked. Restaurant: the buffet restaurant is lovely with live music some evenings. We sat in each part but within a few days always sat in the side where the bar is- Salih is amazing and a fantastic waiter. Within a day he knew our drinks order and it was on the table by the time we wanted to sit down. Buggies: the buggies are brilliant! Transport all over the island with just a phone call. Yes sometimes you may have to wait for a free buggy at busy times (dinner was the busiest) but we waited no more than 10 minutes. Some people were so rude about waiting- but they didn’t want to walk so they should just appreciate the free transport! Bikes: they’re free to use and ideal for getting around! Are they amazing condition? Nope- but they’re free and if you have a problem they sort it for you. Rooms: we had a 600 room, with 2 extra beds in there for our children we still found the rooms spacious and it was cleaned every day. The guy then came back every evening to give new beach and room towels. Beach bar: lovely cold drinks, we didn’t order food here as we were all inclusive but we didn’t have milkshakes and wedges one lunch and it was nice. The snorkelling was brilliant and my kids loved it! Each pool and the beach bar have plenty of beds and you can get towels there if you don’t want to take them from the room. All the staff are friendly and nothing is too much for them. A highlight was the daily fish feeding- it was brilliant. Thank you Canareef for giving us a truly once in a lifetime holiday- memories to last a lifetime.
