Bonamanzi Game Reserve was a great getaway and I would highly recommend this place, we stayed in the treehouse cabin but there are other beautiful places to stay there, the staff are amazing and very helpful, the game reserve is huge and you can self drive if you wish, as I did. But you would need at least a 2x4 bakkie as some of the gravel roads are rather harsh

We went comping this weekend. First time I have camped in my adult life, so was very skeptical. What a place to go camping, was really amazing. Campgrounds, bathrooms/building was all very clean. Staff came through early mornings to clean. Each staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful. Got such a nice greeting from the reception, we felt at home from the beginning. There is something for everyone, as their camp sites and lodges, and separate bungalows as well as stunning treehouses overlooking forest/wildlife. Highly recommend it and can't wait to go again

Camping - overnight convenient stopover so did not ahve the beb=nefit of the enjoyment of the reserve/birding.

We had a lovely two night stay here early in June. The staff are super friendly and helpful, everything is clean and well looked after, the roads are perfect for making one feel one is in the wild, and it’s a beautiful environment. Perfect place for a short bush getaway.

We recently camped for 5 nights at Bonamanzi Game reserve. It was once again a great trip. We explored the park in our vehicles, spent time at the bird hides, went for walks and runs. The private ablutions at each camp site is for sure a winner. We have already booked for our next visit!

We were very unlucky with the weather during our stay, but otherwise really enjoyed the reserve. We stayed in an exclusive campsite (unfortunately did not sleep the first night due to loud music coming from outside of the reserve but it was only one night and understand it is beyond the control of the reserve management). The staff were very friendly and we loved having wildlife roaming our campsite. The birdlife was exceptional and we had a fantastic game drive.

Een prachtige plek, middenin de natuur en tussen de dieren. Zo mooi! Ook heel vriendelijk personeel en de game drive was geweldig. Restaurant was ook goed (buffet), lekker eten en goede bediening.

Stayed in the chalets near reception overlooking the Dam. Beautiful view. Lovely rooms with Fridge and kettle. Very clean. Whilst it rained and not so many animals we still felt like we were in another world. Food was very nice, delicious and tasty
