Welcome to the newly built Merikataja cabin, located on the shore of the Bothnian Bay on a private lot of approximately one hectare. The building is divided into two separate sections, allowing for both private and common time to be arranged effortlessly. One section contains a living area, a fireplace, a modern kitchen, and a cozy bedroom with a double bed. In the other section, you can relax in the sauna or by the fireplace, and it can also be used for overnight stays if needed. The cabin features a full-width terrace with stunning westward views of the sea. Large sliding glass doors provide seamless access to the terrace and offer extensive sea views from inside as well. There is a swimming area at the shore, along with a boat and a canoe. During the summer, you can hike, mountain bike, or pick berries in the surrounding forests, while in winter, you can enjoy skiing and snowmobiling directly on the frozen sea. Other distances: The nearest small boat harbor is 3 km away. The area also offers a variety of activities, such as icebreaker cruises and nature safaris, organized by local service providers. 24 km to the north from Kemi, river Kemijoki 80 m (the width of the river is 500 m, reservoir) deep, rocky beach, pier and boat for shared use with neighboring apartment. Sauna on the beach, wood-burning sauna stove with tank for heating water, small dressing room. Water to the sauna comes from the river by carrying (distance 10 m), no electricity in the sauna. There is also a campfire site on the beach. Sauna and campfire site are shared with two apartments. Itäkoski 2 is an apartment in a calm countryside. A few houses and farms as neighbors. Taivalkoski power plant 500 m. Distance to the road Kemijoki Itäpuolentie is 80 m, so traffic noise can be heard. A large, flat and grassed yard that extends to the beach.
