This unit is built partially over the water which flows under the building at high tide.The Inn sits on the shores of Penn Cove, a sheltered bay of the Salish Sea, part of the Pacific Ocean. It is center of the historic district and yards away from the Coupeville wharf. Seals, otters, heron, deer and eagles are commonly seen from the Inn. Seasonally, Gray and Orca whales can also be seen from the Inn.
