Welcome to the Rusty Anchor located in Horseshoe Beach, FL. We hope your stay is enjoyable and relaxing. This condo sleeps 7 people comfortably with a large kitchen and open floor plan. Enjoy your coffee in the mornings on the balcony where you can see the Gulf of Mexico in the distance. You can enjoy swimming in the pool and if you get hungry you can grill out by the pool. When you pull up to the property you have a covered parking spot right underneath the condo. If you brought your boat, there are four boat ramps to launch from on the island. You can launch off of Main Street, the public boat ramp at the park, The Marina (temporarily closed due to Hurricane Irma) and the boat ramp at Egret Landing. The boat ramp at Egret Landing is a tidal ramp so depending on the tide you may or may not get your boat in and out. The other boat ramps are not tidal boat ramps. If you haven't experienced a breathtaking sunset, you can walk or ride to The Point at Horseshoe Beach for the most beautiful sunset. If you don't have a boat but are looking to go fishing you can fish from the land or the rocks at The Point. If you need live bait, be sure to visit Renee over at Florida Cracker Shrimp and Bait Co. on Main Street, they have the best bait in town. Please don't miss out on eating at The Shrimp Boat. They have great seafood and are located a couple blocks from the condo on Main Street. The Marina is where you can get your odds and end items you may have forgotten but since they are temporarily closed be sure to get all your groceries from Cross City located 19 miles from Horseshoe Beach. If you are looking for the closest Walmart, you can find it in Chiefland located 39 miles south on Hwy 19. If you are looking to explore what is around Horseshoe Beach, including some of our most famous springs please check out the following areas located within 60 miles of Horseshoe Beach. Hart Springs is located 39.8 miles away, Manatee Springs is located 45.1 miles away, and Ginnie Springs is located 55 miles away. If you want to go tubing down the river, you must visit Ichetucknee Springs State Park located 58 miles away near High Springs. NEW LISTING! Waterfront 2 BR, 2 BA at River's Edge on Steinhatchee River with a dock and private boat slip with a spectacular VIEW of the river. Beautifully decorated and stocked with all the necessities you could possibly need. There is even a bait freezer in the storage room available for your use! There are 3 smart TV's - in the living room and both bedrooms and there is WiFi available to you as well. Exterior security cameras. The beds are super comfy and there are plenty of towels and beach towels for your use. The condo is also stocked with coffee, filters, creamer, sugar, sweet 'n low, salt, pepper, an assortment of spices, aluminum foil, and many other nice necessities that you won't need to run to the store to grab. Starter paper products and toiletries are also provided. You will absolutely love sitting on the balcony overlooking the Steinhatchee River and watch the fishing boats come in carrying their catch of the day into Sea Hag Marina - right across the river. If you don't bring a boat, but want to rent one or charter a fishing trip, you can do that at Sea Hag Marina. They have a whole fleet of rental boats and many charter captains, but be sure to book in advance. If you do bring your own boat, you have a private slip available to you that is 40' long and can accommodate a boat 10' wide. There is a fish cleaning table on the dock and also a private gazebo for the use of River's Edge Condo owners and guests. Take a dip in the pool after a day enjoying everything that Steinhatchee has to offer (fishing, boating, scalloping or just chillin'). You can bring your four legged friend (limit 2 dogs with a pet fee of $75 each doggie- but no cats allowed). The condo is pet friendly, but please use the dogdoo bags that are provided in the laundry room to clean up after your pet. This is a NO SMOKING condo, not even on the balcony.
