There is no reason to stay in this hotel except for the fact that it is the only accommodation available in Kowloon Bay, meaning if you have early business meetings in this area you don't have a choice. The nearest MTR station is 10-15 mins walk, and unless you're prepared to walk that far, all restos nearby close after 6pm, including the in-house resto.
The hotel policies - deposit, cleaning etc. - are very inconsistent, and they largely depend on the mood of the front desk personnel. A special mention has to go to a middle-aged man at the front desk who obviously has no idea what hospitality means and treats guests very rudely and sarcastically, even accusing guests of 'yelling' at him at one point.
The rooms are hit-and-miss. Sometimes they are basic but decent; other times they are plain bad, with broken sockets and peeling walls and squeaky mattresses. There was never really a great one though.
Credits have to go to the cleaning staff though for always keeping the toilets clean.
