Arrived late after booking late (3 hours notice) booked a quad room. On arrival there was no one at reception but managed the automated checkin which was ok and pretty seamless once we had found our booking ref. When we got into the room it had been made up as a double not a quad (this was 9pm) had to had back down to reception, after waiting 15mins and pressing the button to summon someone a number of times eventually a person appeared, explained the problem and was asked to wait in the bar while they resolved it. 10:10pm, we gave up and went back to the room to find it complete (no one spoke to us to explain or apologize). Room was fine, a little cramped with the four beds but this was to be expected, the bathroom was clean but dated. Over night it was very hot and hard to sleep. Following morning had a shower but then realized we only had one set of towels, no massive issue as this was an overnight stop to somewhere else so we used our own. Breakfast was downstairs in the bar, full allergy menu was provided and a good number of GF options. It was nothing to shout about but it was hot and filling. All in all it was a rubbish stay, last of attention from staff and a poor night's sleep. I was going to speak to a staff member in the morning but again they were nowhere to be found.
