The Baiyun Hotel (Baiyun Binguan) is located in the Tianhai Scenic Area of Huang Shan, China's famous "Yellow Mountain". Surrounded by soaring peaks and wistful pines, this mountaintop hotel backs onto Bright Summit, one of the best spots to witness the majestic sight of the sun rising over the misty mountains. It's a sight that is well worth the early start, and the morning chill is alleviated by thick down jackets available to all guests.The hotel is built in traditional Hui style with rustic but cozy wood-lined "eco" rooms. More traditional-style options are available, many of which offer exceptional mountain views. All guestrooms feature high-speed broadband Internet access, satellite TVs, mini-bars and in-room safes.Dining options on Huang Shan are limited to hotels and snack stalls with the Baiyuan Hotel's restaurant offering a range of Chinese and Western options. Other facilities include a small shop and a business center for those all-important emails, but really Huang Shan is all about the magnificent scenery and a mountain-top stay is the perfect way to enjoy it to the max.

Excellent service, very attentive and gave good tips on exploring the scenic area. A big thank you to the hotel staff (especially 宋书琳). The location is outstanding. The room's view is breathtaking. Wished I stayed longer. Interesting room design, with cave like beds.

Amazing Stay!
We had an amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff took great care of us. A special thanks to Xiao Ye, who was incredibly helpful and thoughtful throughout our stay — providing us with regular updates on the sunrise schedule, evening show times, and even surprising us with complimentary snacks, foot bath sachets, and access to the massage chair.
The hotel has a lovely, relaxing environment, an excellent breakfast buffet with plenty of options, and it’s conveniently located close to the peak for watching the sunrise. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back again!

We had a great time at the hotel. Huang, our account manager is the best! She went on and beyond for us to be comfortable. She showed us around the hotel, and kept us informed on the activities so we wouldn’t miss out. Always making sure we were comfortable at the the hotel. I wish every hotel had her kind of service. I would actually rate her a 1,000 out of 10. Thank you!
The food: the egg fried rice and wontons were so delicious 10/10

I had a great experience here, especially Xiao Ye, who took care of my needs and answered all my questions. She would let me know when sunrise was and kept me informed. The buffet was plentiful. Overall, it was a great stay.

Had a really good time. We were welcomed by a lady at the front desk that brought us to our room and explained everything about the area (where to see the sunset/sunrise etc)
She kept on sending me updates on weather and activities in the hotel.
Later in the evening she offered us tea and beers, free trial of the chair, and when we went back to our room we found a bag with fruits and local biscuits!
The next day after breakfast they offered us coffee and more advice about where to go next.
Our room was comfortable, highlight being the amazing view from the window!!
Very good service, we recommend this place and would come back if we come back to Huangshan!

We really enjoyed our stay at the baiyun hotel. The location is great for both sunset and sunrise, room facilities are really good as well, but we were most pleasantly surprised by the service of the staff! Definitely recommend booking a stay here if you want to stay overnight at Huangshan.

Staying on top of Huangshan is a magical experience, and our stay at this hotel made it even better. The location is incredible for exploring the peaks, but the absolute highlight of our visit was the exceptional service from one of the staff members, 小敏.
She truly went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. She gave us perfect, detailed advice on the best spots to watch the famous Huangshan sunset and sunrise, which made all the difference. We got the most amazing photos thanks to her!
What touched us most was her genuine kindness and warmth. She even surprised us with a few small, thoughtful gifts during our stay! It felt less like we were at a hotel and more like we were visiting a friend.
We are so grateful for her help. Thank you, 小敏, for making our adventure so special. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the mountain—the service is as stunning as the views!

Location is relatively close to bright summit (around 30 minutes climb). Room is clean, with heating and smart controls.
Dinner and breakfast buffet was also included in my stay, which offered a good selection of food.
The hotel interestingly offers a "butler service" to guests, where they assign a staff to address questions/needs you have. The person assigned to me 星华 offered great service, checking in on my stay and providing some snacks for the road on the last night.
Recommend staying here if you are looking for accommodation on huangshan.
