We booked 3 rooms for our family for 2 nights. Our stay was comfortable and clean - no frills, kind of place. The location is convenient for exploring Vík and Skogar, which we used as our 2-day base. Breakfast was great, a nice buffet of everything. We liked that they kept the coffee and tea bar open to enjoy all day and we used the lobby sitting area for playing board games (they have some there) and socializing. Hairdryers are communal, in a basket in the lobby, to use and return. We ate both dinners in VÍk and enjoyed their community swimming pool/hot tub/sauna about $10 usd each. There’s no restaurant currently on-site at the hotel. A few suggestions: add some outdoor furniture to their empty patio outside the front lobby and maybe some picnic tables around the property. They do have beautiful views to take in. Guests would enjoy that! Also, they wanted us to do a self check-in via an email, which we never received. We had to call a # and then wait for someone to come to check-in, since the email didn’t work. In addition, when we checked-out, two women were at the front desk, but didn’t bother to look away from their computer to say goodbye and ensure we had a nice stay, so we just left the key card. Part of traveling and retaining guests is having “a personal touch” aspect to hospitality. Meeting a local, having someone to inquire about suggestions/things to do, makes traveling better. Therefore, removing staff from a desk makes a no frills hotel, even colder. That’s just my opinion.

Great place and location, surrounded by cliffs and also close to a lot of sites, only couple of kms from Skogafoss and solheimajokull on the South coast, just stayed for 1 night wirh my gf, very nice and spacious room, and 1 of the best breakfast i have had. Would recommend

agriturismo a Skogar, perfetto punto di appoggio per escursioni nella costa sud est. è isolato e intorno non c'è inquinamento luminoso quindi è perfetto per la caccia all'aurora boreale! noi l'abbiamo vista direttamente dal cortile dell' hotel. il posto è semplice ma ha tutto ciò che serve e il personale è gentile e disponibile. scelta vegana su richiesta, altrimenti il menu è fisso e deciso da loro (quando siamo andati noi, era tutto pesce). le grandi vetrate rendono magico il momento della colazione. sarete accolti da una dolcissima cagnolona! consigliato!

My husband and I, along with our adult son, stayed one night in this hotel on an organized tour. After a very long day of travel, I was so disappointed when we walked into this hotel. It is VERY basic. Like just a bed and tiny bathroom. No TV. Cinderblock walls. You can hear everything going on in the rooms next to you. Not what I look forward to on a vacation. And for any of you that are considering packing a hairdryer - this hotel has one. One. As in, one hairdryer for the ENTIRE hotel. Fortunately, there weren't a lot of women in our tour group so I was able to get my hands on it for a few minutes, but if it were busy the odds would not have been good. That being said, the hotel was clean, the water pressure was decent and the beds/pillows were comfortable. Not luxurious by any means, but we got a good sleep in a clean room so I guess that's all that really matters. The breakfast was decent and the location is good for viewing the Northern Lights. Decent place for one night.

My family room is spacious, comes with comfortable beddings, fast wifi and strong shower. There is no kettle in the room so you have to share the kettle with 10 other rooms located in the same building. Breakfast is pretty decent though with hot sausages, scrambled eggs and the usual cold cuts, cereal etc. Overall this is a very convenient overnight spot during the road trip.
