This follows on from the review recently written re noisey, unhygenic and uncaring staff attitudes, both in the NAVY hotel and the Jet2 reps. After four months of lack of liaison from Jet2, and then Jet2 reviewing our complaint against the wrong hotel (you really couldn't write this story!), we took our complaint to ABTA but Jet2 are standing by the the fact that they feel this hotel is clean and suitable for families....IT IS NOT - please see the pictures attached. The most upsetting point is that the cot we requested (ordered before we left for your holiday) for our 6 month old baby was not supplied on arrival and following our complaint about this, the Jet2 Customer rep advised us that SIDS is theoretical and that is was fine to expect our infant to sleep in the bed with us - I am really concerned about this lack of concern about safety so please take this into account if travelling with a baby. The cleaner did not do her job with any diligence and left us a lovely plate of yoghurt with a cigarette in it just outside our room.... disgusting. The fridge was rusty and filthy.... certainly not a place to leave baby bottles. We have been advised by Jet2 that there is no need for any electrical check, and they have completed glossed over the disgusting state of it when we arrived. We did not use this fridge during our stay (luckily we travelled with other people in another hotel and we used theirs). The bed sheets were marked - disgusting The shower head was broken with sharp edges, we could not let our daughter shower with this due to possibility of scratching/cutting. The pool side shower - well you can see that for yourself but this was indicative of the lack of cleanliness throughout. We do not have pictures, but the 'toddler' pool was too full of leaves and mess that our grand-daughter did not use this. The noise from a bar nearby went on most nights well into the morning (3am and after) and the hotel were not interested in this and the reps just said 'it was a matter for the police... but likely they wouldn't do anything about it anyway'... there were many complaints about this from other guests, but nothing was done. The pool bar was never open and general staff presence was sporadic. We cannot afford to go to arbitration as suggested by ABTA, so we have to park this now, but we feel extremely disappointed by the experience we had at this hotel (see post by Paul and another by our daughter Charlotte).... from one family to another... please look to another hotel, especially if you have children..... this hotel is simply not concerned for health or safety of customers or your overall customer experience.
