What an amazing experience for my parents and I. Fabulous staff. So clean, food was lovely and fresh. It means a lot as this is my parent’s last holiday. Due to health and choice. Very personal treatment in a useful location to visit Ilfracombe and get access to the Lundy Ferry. Alison (and Heather) were particularly helpful allowing us to leave a car there during a 2 day Lundy visit and giving us a lift to the Quay which would otherwise have been an 18 minute (but pleasant) walk. A very good spot for an overnight stay before the early Lundy ferry journey. The location was quiet, the honesty bar quite quaint and the breakfast very good. Thank-you

Amazing breakfast Breakfast was amazing only thing I would say was my room was very small but I did book a single room so was expected. Very clean and freshly decorated

We arrived at the Avoncourt after a long, showery day on the South West Coast Path and were checked into a cozy, clean balcony room overlooking Ifracombe. Seems that was all we needed to change our luck! The weather cleared up and we rallied to enjoy an evening stroll around the Ilfracombe harborfront and sea coast. We later enjoyed a nightcap in the honesty bar (kudos on the nice selection of beverages) and sat a while in the library — even though we didn’t do any reading. The next morning’s breakfast was fulsome and tasty, perfect for getting ready for another day’s long walk on the Path. Many thanks to the Avoncourt Lodge for a pleasant overnight stay!
