The hotel is clean but very worn out and even in its heyday I can’t fathom how this was ever 4 stars. The bed spreads don’t appear to have been washed in ages, the bathrooms are tiny and you can barely fit through the door to enter the shower (and I’m thin!). Sound insulation is also terrible. They need a serious revamp.

Despite the room and the hotel itself looks old, the location is very great and it only takes you 3 minutes to get to the central station for airport transfer. The best thing here is the breakfast. There is a wide variety of food you can pick, and they all taste great, especially the dessert. Very impressive. Grazie mille.

Being a first time business traveller to Italy and Pisa ,it was a wonderful journey , the hotel receptionist can speak English , hence is easy for us to communicate with them . Pros : - Is a strategic location during the stay in Pisa , 15 min walk to leaning tower of Pisa . -Big applause to the receptionist Ms Tamara . She was very helpful , attentive and friendly during our stay at Grand Hotel Bonanno , she guide us to use the train from Pisa to Cinque terre, and lead us the direction to leaning tower of Pisa .The view of cinque terre was magnificent! -Other than that she helps us arrange taxi to airport and to my client office . - she was patient to answer all the request and question given by us . -The buffet breakfast was excellent , many selection of choice . Cons - there is no complimentary for mineral water during the stay . - the hotel was near to the railway station , hence you will easily hear the noise from outside however for me is fine with it . -the water heater can be improve . conclusion : If I ever come back again to Pisa, Italy , I will definitely choose this hotel again .

I was stupid and accidentally booked the room 1 night before my actual stay. I was so frightened when the staff pointed it out. However he was soooo nice and still let me stay. I'm sooo grateful about that. The hotel smells nice and is decorated tastefully with artistic theme - there were paintings all along the corridor. My room is huge, my bed is grand and comfy for a solo traveller like me, everything is extremely clean, facilities are neat and well maintained. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Pisa Centrale and Pisa Leaning Tower. I'm a very happy guest. I'm so glad that I have chosen this hotel to stay for my Pisa trip. I will definitely stay here if I ever come back to explore Pisa again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a comfy stay, a sound sleep at affordable price in Pisa. Don’t be fooled by the photos. But in fact, when I arrived in the room, it turned out that the photo was taken and it felt very dirty...Because it is an old building, the wall is that kind of old wall, so it looks dirty, but it is actually the texture of the wall...The interior inside is very beautiful The lamps and tables all have old European style and are very comfortable. The front desk is also very standardized, all dressed in suits, very polite and friendly, and good English. The most beautiful is the top of the hotel room, which has a bit of the feeling of a wooden house on the Norwegian side, because it may be an old house with wooden beams rebuilt, but it looks better. The hot water in the bath is also very hot. There is no elevator. We have a lot of boxes. The front desk changed us to a low-floor room~ and the heating seems to be turned off in the middle of the night. Many hotels here seem to be like this in order to save costs but it will not be cold at night. The breakfast is also quite rich, it is a normal continental breakfast, basically all.

The place is squeaky clean. Thoughtful and friendly owner who provided us with loads of information when we arrived. The shared bathroom is huge, bright and spotless. Hair dryer, mouth wash, tooth paste, cotton ear buds etc you name it are all provided. However the shower cubicle is quite small. Conveniently located within 10 minutes walking distance between the airport and railway station. City centre is about half an hour walk away. The room is air-conditioned. All in all a very nice place. I would recommend it.

BBodoWhat a nice place to stay in central Pisa! It doesn't look much from outside, but as soon as you pass through the front door you find that you're in a quiet cool oasis (note: there is quite a long flight of stairs up to the rooms - no lift - so not great for those with mobility issues). Our room was spacious and comfortable and, despite overlooking a small square with restaurants, very quiet at night (there's quad-glazing on the window). You can order breakfast, or just enjoy the snacks left for us in the room. There's a microwave and drink making set-up in the lounge which was very handy. The owners are friendly and helpful and were happy for us to leave our luggage for a few hours on the last day. Staff are on site only in the mornings, and initially we were a bit sceptical about the entry/check in process (done with a QR code online), but it all worked flawlessly. We would happily stay here again if we visit Pisa in the future :-)

CClairmaThe location of the hotel is fabulous and the room itself was beautiful. It’s amazing to step outside your room and see the tower right there! Unfortunately I found the staff at check in to be fairly rude and not very helpful; I felt like I was annoying him by checking in. I booked this hotel specifically because it has air conditioning but it didn’t work and since the hotel staff go home in the evening there was nobody to help and we were unable to sleep due to the heat. Even though the location was amazing I probably wouldn’t book here again.

GGuest UserA 5 minute walk from Pisa, very helpful and friendly staff 24 hours. There isnt a lift, however staff insisted in carrying our bags up the stairs, very helpful! We were late to breakfast, and they still accommodated for us (a couple). They set up a Private breakfast for us to in the bar dining on the ground floor, asked what we wanted to eat and drink, and kept coming back to see if it was enough. It included pancakes, eggs, toast, pastries, cappuchino with pretty coffee art, teas, spreads, homemade cake, juice. They brought us more when they came pass. Highly recommend this stay :) well worth the money!

Kks1911It seems that the old building is being renovated. You need to turn the key yourself to lock the room door on either side. It is located very close to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, so there is no shortage of restaurants and souvenir shops. There is also a small chain supermarket a short walk away. If you are staying in Pisa, this is a highly recommended hotel.

AAnonymous UserThe room facilities are average, there is no kettle, but another hotel near the Leaning Tower of Pisa has one. Just like the hotel in Siena, if you want hot water, you can boil a kettle immediately, and you have to go down and bring it up yourself. The service in Siena is more old-fashioned, and the front desk is very polite to bring up the white porcelain kettle and two matching porcelain cup trays. The location is close to the train station, and it only takes 15 minutes to walk to the airport. The air conditioner is broken, but fortunately it was warm that day and it was ignored. The room upstairs makes a lot of noise when walking at night. The room given is not very good, and it feels a bit different. Anyway, it's just a one-night stay. I didn't eat breakfast. Pisa is a good town, with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere.

TTiffanyWe didn’t realise that this place is only having driveway to get there. At night, we carried two 23kg big suitcases and walked there. That was a terrible experience. Other than that, the AC inside the room seemed to have some problem, we felt so hot and hard to breath during our stay. But tbh, I didn’t expect much with the price (£94 per night)

TThe.snacking.gypsyI had actually stayed at a different safety property in Naples and thought this was the same one and thus booked it but to my rather surprise this was nothing like that. While the staff were really nice and quickly helped me with checking in and the rooms were not too small I felt like the bathroom was from a different dimension altogether as the shower cubicle was so small that while I was making my way out of it I hurt my back really badly And it was very painful to imagine the same happening to anyone else and that’s too on holiday also when I just opened the shower which was fixed overhead little bit of brown water seem to come out from it and I do not know what that was all about but it was rather disappointing however There was lockers in the room and quite a peaceful stay as well so I guess it’s fine for a night, but if only they had the day not so much behind the door that it is positioned in a very weird manner maybe it could have been better and also the flush was not working properly.

AAThe hotel is located in a very small town. The hotel itself is good. I got a new room, there was no noise. Very clean, cleaned every day. Of the shortcomings I can note: no shampoo, a poorly working refrigerator and no glasses in the room. I asked for glasses at the reception, they sent me to the bar, where they gave me plastic glasses.... I took glass ones myself, since I do not drink from plastic. The hotel and Tirrenia itself are an ideal place to distance yourself from the world. Life in the city freezes at 8-9 o'clock. There is nowhere to go. A good supermarket and several restaurants are a 2-minute walk from the hotel. The food in none of them was particularly impressive. The sea is gorgeous. Very clean. The beach is also kept clean. Pisa is a half-hour bus ride from the hotel. There is nothing to do there, except for visiting the tower, but it is not long - 30 minutes maximum. Thank you for the rest.
