We also have personal mirrors in each bedroom to make getting ready for your day in Door County a bit easier. LIVING ROOM:A pull out couch sleeps an additional two individuals. Keep a keen eye out for wildlife out of the big window! A 50 inch Roku TV is available for your use. A perfect location between Sister Bay and Baileys Harbor. This home is away from the hustle and bustle of the towns, yet conveniently situated when needing last minute items or when wanting a little more activity. We just finished extensive remodel in 2018.This year we added a new Napoleon wood fireplace to make having a fire easy. To celebrate we are offering a bundle of dry hardwood free with every stay November - April, so you can enjoy. If you really like fires we would be happy to fill the wood bin for an extra charge of $30. Just let us know when you book.We have installed Premier One UV Air whole house purifier system to the HVAC system. It is a germicidal air purifier that uses ultra violet light. Our cleaning company is using CDC cleaning guidelines on every cleaning. We are NOT suppling towels at this time. Guests need to bring their own towels. We want you to be able to relax on your visit.The house was recently finished in 2018 with a major interior remodeling. The remodeling project includes: hardwood flooring, painting, new custom kitchen, bathroom work, including 2 new tiled showers, and new mattresses. We are very excited to update the interior of our home to make it up to date and inviting.Recently added Starlink wifi for speed over 150 mbps! That's impressive for Door County.This property has a gorgeous view of the historical Cana Island lighthouse which is within walking distance. It is also located next to one of the State of Wisconsin Forests known as Spike Horn and Baileys Harbor Boreal Forest, which have large beautiful hiking paths and natural sand beach frontage, all walking distance from our home.Kayak info: The fishing from Cana Island and through out nearby Moonlight Bay boasts a lot of fishing opportunities from Small Mouth Bass and Northern Pike to occasional Brown Trout. We have 2 fishing kayaks available at home. This sturdy kayaks can be used for just checking out the beautiful shorelines to catching a DC trophy. Please follow kayak instructions when using.The home, built in 1990, has all the modern conveniences you would expect. The two screened porches, facing lakeside, capture the beauty of the water and the lighthouse, as does the expansive deck. Both rooms have plenty of furniture to relax in.We have a pier with a swim ladder. The water gradually drops off. Note water levels very greatly in DC from year to year.The interior of the home has a foyer and great room which boasts a two-story ceiling with many windows that allow the natural light and surrounding beauty to enter from each side.The new custom kitchen is spacious and and opens up to the dining and great room. It is gorgeous! Appliances are new with dishwasher, and refrigerator with an ice maker. The laundry room has a washer and dryer for your convenience. Capable of hosting many guests this three bedroom home has access to three full baths. The master bedroom and bath are located on the main level as is the second bedroom and a full bath. Come enjoy our 1,500 sq. ft. lake house on Kangaroo Lake. This home maintains its original 1940's cottage charm with the classic Door County stone fireplace(non functioning), cedar walls, and wood floors. The house comfortably accommodates 8-12 guests with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The dining room has a lakeside view and seating for 12. There is plenty of space for outdoor dining, lawn games, and relaxing. *Satellite TV and WiFi provided*.The first floor master bedroom has a queen size bed, its own private bathroom and a patio facing the lake. The upstairs has 3 bedrooms and another full bathroom. The first bedroom has 2 twin beds, the second bedroom has a full bed, and the large third bedroom which faces the lake has a queen size bed and full futon. There is also a queen size sofa bed in the living room and a half bathroom on the first floor. The fireplace is beautiful but not functioning.Kangaroo Lake is an 1,156 acre, spring-fed lake with a maximum depth of 12 feet. Catch fish from the dock, causeway or one of the boats provided (canoe, kayak, paddle board, and fishing boat). The lake's sandy bottom is ideal for wading and playing in the water. The water temperature is nice and warm around 15 degrees warmer than Lake Michigan.*The dock will be put in around May 20th and will be taken out around October 15th each year. If you choose to stay prior to May 20th the dock and fishing boat will not be available. The canoe, kayak, and paddleboard will still be available to use.*The lake house is just minutes away from a golf course, restaurants, breweries, wineries, shops, and entertainment. There is much to do in Door County, but you may be content to spend the day at the lake house, playing in the water, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, or just relaxing. At the end of the day enjoy watching the sun set over the lake or sitting by the campfire.This place is great for families with small children as we do provide pack'n play, stroller, and booster seat for your convenience. This property is walking distance to Kangaroo Lake. Featured on Travel Wisconsin! NEW AC installed in April of 2019! I have two kayaks for rental as well. This is an A frame cabin with a loft area that has 3 beds. There is an additional bed downstairs. The backyard has patio and is completely secluded by trees that surround it. It is a short drive (roughly 10 minutes) to the shops, restaurants, ice cream/candy stores, and the Lake Michigan Harbor. There is so much around to do, kayak, snowmobile, ice fish, regular fishing, hiking, biking and so much more! It is available all year round with a cozy wood burner. The snowmobile trails run right through with plenty of parking on the lot. Across the street is a great restaurant/bar that hosts events and has delicious, reasonably priced food. This place is great for families, friends, or a couples getaway. Early check in is ONLY available if the cleaner gets it cleaned early. I will notify you if early check in is available the day of. I cannot guarantee early check in otherwise.
