"Conveniently located within the ancient town such that the sights are all within walking distance. Rustic room that was clean and comfortable albeit a little dark. Water took a quite a few minutes to heat up but not a huge issue. Excellent hotel service who contacted us a few days before hand to confirm the pick up time at the high speed railway station; drop off was also arranged without any issue. Lovely, homely breakfast whipped up by the kitchen aunty featuring a small spread of bread, cereal, boiled and fried eggs, and the local rice noodle dish with condiments on the side. Having the breakfast overlooking the beautiful waterfall was a highlight of the stay!"

"Lovely hotel in Furong Ancient town. We booked quite last minute (2 days in advance maybe), but they still provided pick up service from the train station. We arrived a bit early (around noon) but they made sure our room would be cleaned first, so we wouldn’t have to wait for a long time (which wasn’t even needed because we could’ve gone for a walk in the town).
Kind staff showed us the map of the town and explained which show would be where at what time.
The room had amazing views, just like in the pictures. Good airco, comfortable bed and a nice shower. Thanks for having us!"

"A wonderful place to explore the Ancient Town. One of the entrances to the waterfall is just below the window, therefore it can get loud (from the people taking pictures) from mid morning until shows.
As I came on foot with my large suitcase, I was really out of breath from caring the suitcase down all these steps. With the help from the translation of WeChat I was offered a pickup service by a taxi for the return trip to the train station. That was great, as I would never have found the fast pathway to the parking lot by myself. The Innkeeper also explained to my the schedule of the shows, which was absolutely helpful."

"I’m writing a review as a traveller from the UK, and the room was VERY expensive for what you got. BUT you aren’t paying for the room you’re paying for the view! Which was SPECTACULAR! See pics, these are from the window of the room.
The room was okay for one night (all you really need in furong town) and the hotel did provide a pick up and drop back service from their local high speed rail station (it felt dodgy when going from the car park to the room but was okay).
Traveller tip: YOU NEED TO PAY FOR ENTRY TO THE TOWN. When entering the town you have to pay a fee as it’s a scenic area of China, this is unavoidable and the hotel fine print does mention you have to pay this.
All in all, you can enjoy an amazing view at this hotel, but I feel that for the price, you can stay elsewhere in this town and get the same experience for cheaper."

"The rooms were excellent. The service was incredibly thoughtful. They offered complimentary transfers to/from both the high-speed rail station and Furong Ancient Town, and during check-in, staff even helped carry our luggage all the way to our room door.
Afternoon tea was a lovely touch, and the swimming pool was fantastic. In the evenings, you can also enjoy their fireside tea ceremony and hot springs – definitely worth trying!
The hotel is conveniently located directly opposite the Xiangxi World Geopark Museum. You can easily scan a QR code at the entrance to reserve your spot and enter. It's definitely worth a visit."

"The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The owner and staff are very welcoming. Free tea is available downstairs, which is delicious. All hotel amenities are disposable and clean. This is a very good hotel I've stayed in recently. The room was odorless and had great lighting. The hotel is in a great location, close to the high-speed rail station and scenic spots, and the night view is beautiful."

I travel frequently for work and have stayed at many 5-star hotels around the world, yet none of them have left me with such a warm and memorable impression as this seemingly modest hotel. From the very beginning, the genuine hospitality and personal attention to every detail made the experience truly exceptional.
The hostess thoughtfully arranges transportation to and from the train station, personally welcomes guests with tea, assists in booking discounted tickets to the historic part of the city (the entrance to which is conveniently located right next to the hotel), and provides helpful recommendations for exploring the area.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed with a strong sense of aesthetics, looking picturesque from every angle — almost like a scene from a movie. However, what truly makes this place special is the heartfelt care and dedication of the hostess and staff, which you feel from the very first moment of your stay.
Breakfast is a traditional Chinese style, prepared with great taste and warmth — I enjoyed it very much.
I highly recommend visiting Furong and staying at this wonderful hotel — it will surely exceed your expectations.
My sincere thanks to the hostess and staff for making such a valuable contribution to our experience in China.

Everything was well organized (hotel approached me with arrival information before my stay) and also fulfilled my requests (meals, transportation to the train station) during my stay. The room was furnished very nicely and I enjoyed the river view. The view of the waterfall from the terraces is unbeatable. Breakfast was simple, but sufficient. I would definitely recommend to stay here.

GGuest UserOur experience was wonderful. People running this hotel are amazing, super kind, always helpful. I am Italian and I don’t speak chinese but with the translator we could communicate perfectly with them. The room was amazing, new and clean with a wonderful view of the village and river (we had booked a balcony room). At night it’s stunning! The bed was comfortable and wide. They have the elevator which is great and they are just 150 meters (2 mins) from the entrance gate of the ancient town. They provided a free shuttle from the railway station and helped us to obtain the tickets for the ancient town from our online reservations. It was very how during our stay and the air con was perfect in the room, they provided fresh water bottles everyday. Breakfast was chinese and super yummy (the best wonton in my life), they also have coffee, some backed cakes and toast bread. I really suggest to stay in this place!

10/10 Location : This hotel is right next to the scenic viewing platform to see whole waterfall with the old village. You can't see the waterfall from the room (nice for us since we don't want disturbing sound when we sleep) but replace with very beautiful and calm river view. Each room place separately and have different scenery. It's hard to tell which room you would get when you book the room via Trip.com but the 8805 and 8806 we stayed both have wonderful scenery.
10/10 Service : Hotel staff was very helpful. They helped us carry the luggage to the rooms. They don't have enough staffs in my opinion.
8/10 Facilities : Breakfast is easy and delicious. Room and bathroom facilities are just enough. About drop off, they will drop you to the back entrance of Fenghuang Village area. You will need to walk from the road, pass the alley - the ticket gate, then arrive at the hotel entrance not too far. This hotel may not convenient for elderly.
6/10 Cleanliness : Actually it not all that bad. The room 8805 and 8806 were quite clean minus only the air conditioner when we switch to heater, it smell (may be visitors rarely use heater). But the room 8803 is quite dirty (I guess it's because 8803 is not the frequently occupied room but they give us this room because they want us to stay close to each other). And It's such a shame that they have such a beautiful place but didn't take care of the weeds to allow for the full view from the room.

It is very convenient for travel. There is a pedestrian street at the entrance of the hotel, and there are special restaurants around. There are also night markets, banks, pharmacies, supermarkets, fruit stores, shopping malls, specialty stores, clothing stores, barber shops, etc. nearby, which are very convenient for shopping and dining. 2. Brand new facilities and equipment: The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with advanced bathrooms and sufficient hot water. The quilts are very warm and comfortable to sleep. 3. Clean and comfortable: Clean the room and change toiletries in time every day. 4. Intimate and thoughtful service: The proprietress is an English teacher. She kindly and patiently took me to visit the hotel room, made a free travel guide for me and bought discounted tickets for the scenic area, invited me to lunch and dinner, provided free fruit and free breakfast, cared about my travel on the way every day, and greeted, communicated and gave me directions in English from time to time. Thanks to the enthusiastic help and thoughtful service of the boss lady, my trip to Zhangjiajie was very happy and smooth. If you are a foreigner traveling to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park like me, I recommend staying at Xifu Bay Resort Hotel.

VVaiThe location of the guesthouse is near perfect. It is centrally located near the waterfall, with slight partial view depending on your room location.
It has full amenities, clean, no lift though. The guesthouse owner was super helpful, provide us with 1 time free pick up from the train station and guided us on local attractions and places to eat.
The hotel is next to the staircase access down to the bottom of waterfall where you can walk under. The entire FURONG old town area is not big, easy walk of 30min to cover almost entirely loop.

The corridors were laid with thick carpets, muffling footsteps, and adorned with elegant ink paintings. Soft, warm lighting cast a gentle glow, making walks through them exceptionally soothing.
Our guest room was clean and cozy. Stepping onto the balcony opened onto the viewing platform – wooden railings framed a lush bamboo grove. Tall, straight bamboo stalks with densely layered leaves swayed and rustled gently in the breeze. Standing there, surrounded by such vibrant greenery, even the air felt crisper. In the evening, the setting sun cast golden patches through the gaps in the leaves, with the shifting light and shadow creating the illusion of a secluded haven. On the fifth floor, there's another viewing platform offering panoramic vistas of Furong Town. Guests can also enjoy complimentary karaoke, singing while admiring the views and dining – we were absolutely thrilled with this experience!
The service was a significant highlight. At check-in, the front desk readily shared tips on the best viewing times for the platforms. The cleaning staff were quiet and respectful while tidying and even discreetly swept fallen leaves from the balcony. When we wanted to sit on the viewing platform, staff promptly brought rattan cushions – every detail reflected their thoughtful consideration.
Overall, this place seamlessly blends natural tranquility with warm, attentive service, ensuring a supremely comfortable stay. We'll definitely be back here on our next trip. This stay stands out as one of the most satisfying travel experiences I've had, even compared to numerous famous attractions I've visited!
