Casa Tucansillo is a very bright and spacious bungalow, with large windows from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding garden and tropical plants. There is no noise except that of nature, it’s a wonderful place for you to relax. You can often see hummingbirds, squirrels, coatis, monkeys and guatuzas also visit us.The house has a large kitchen which is fully equipped, hot water shower, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, cable tv and wifi.The space:Casa Tucansillo has a privileged position with a view of almost the entire property. It is a spacious bungalow, with large windows on three sides from which you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding garden.The layout of the bungalow is loft style and offers you a very large space with a comfortable double bed, dining area as well as a fully equipped kitchen. You will find plenty of space to store your belongings. An air conditioner and ceiling fan ensure your preferred temperature.You can enjoy your meals in a peaceful atmosphere amidst our tropical garden. You are surrounded by beautiful tropical plants and can often see colibris and other types of birds. Squirrels, coatis, monkeys and guatuzas also come to visit us.The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, stove, small oven, coffee maker, microwave, blender and everything you may need for your stay. The ensuite bathroom provides you with a hot water shower.Guest access:The cabin is located about 1 km uphill from Montezuma and the quiet neighbourhood makes it a perfect place to relax, surrounded by nature.There are several small cabins on the property but they are set up in a way to ensure privacy for each of them and you have your own private area around your cabin.Getting around:The bus between Montezuma and Cobano runs every 2 hours directly in front of our property. It costs 350 colones. Alternatively, you can take a taxi for only 2000 colones, or you can walk and exercise, in only 20 minutes you will be in Montezuma. In case you walk, neighbours are often willing to give you a ride and if we are driving to town we are happy to take you as well. Interaction with guests:We will welcome you personally to our property and show you around. As we live on the property ourselves as well, you can easily come see us if you need anything. If we are not home, feel free to call us and we are happy to help.We also own horses and run a tour agency in Montezuma (Cabo Blanco Travelers). So we can organise many different activities for you at great rates. Horseback riding, snorkelling tours, canopy zip lining, surf lessons, fishing, hiking, transportation in the area and many other things.Other things to note:We own dogs but they are always under our care and locked up in our own private area. However, it is good to know in case you are looking for us at our house.Wild animals such as coatis, guatuzas, monkeys, squirrels often come to visit. Please do not feed them, they are wild animals and should not be disturbed in their own environment. Sometimes pizotes may come and search for food, please do not feed them or try to pet them. The Montezuma waterfall is a 4 minute ride, and there is a small, secluded waterfall that is just a short walk from the home if you want to enjoy a private adventure close to the house. Or if you just feel like hanging out, you can just lounge by your beautiful 14' x 28' private pool, just steps from your door. Don't be surprised if the howler monkeys are hanging out just above you. They make lots of noise but are super content just lounging out in the trees all around the house. The views are absolutely breathtaking. The wildlife is abundant. The vibe is unforgettable! This home is set up with everything you need to enjoy what Costa Rica is all about! The Details: The main / entry level is approximately 2200 square feet (204 M2) and features the kitchen, dining area, huge living area, a large air conditioned suite with 2 queen size beds and a full marbled bath. It also includes a wrap around balcony with breathtaking white water coastline views. The lower level features 2 large, air conditioned bedrooms with good quality orthopedic queen-sized mattresses. There is also a full bathroom with a nice big tub. Our home sits on 2.5 acres 300' above "Playa las Manchas" and has beautiful gardens, dozens of fruit trees, a 14' x 28' swimming pool, and a large barbecue area for outdoor gatherings. In June 2022, we hired the dream team of Mario and Alleda to manage the property. Mario, lives in a separate casita away from the main house, and is available to help with any needs and guidance. Mario and Alleda keep the place immaculately maintained and are always willing to help in any way possible. . Outside Security Cameras! We have cameras on the front side of our home, the car park area, and the driveway approach. There is one camera that faces the ocean on the backside of the home. There is a camera on the pool area that you can either disconnect for privacy, or connect if you would like to keep an eye on the kids. You can view all of the camera views on the TV by selecting HDMI 3. We have a ring doorbell. There are NO cameras IN the home, only the perimeter exterior. Other notes...We strongly encourage you to rent a 4 x 4 car as many of the roads out at the beaches are rugged. It is possible to walk down to the beach but the walk down to town is steep and arduous.
