The basement can not be accessed from the interior of the home. We have a lovely couple that resides part time in the separated basement of this home. They frequently travel for work and reside here a few weeks in the month. They cannot enter the house you will be occupying and you cannot enter the space they live. The house has a generator and the latest tankless heat water system, never have fear of being without electricity and always have hot water during your stay.Blender & Keurig-style coffee maker with starter pods and tea is provided for all stays. Fireplaces have all been closed for safety. A past incident left the entire house filled with smoke because the chimney damper was not opened when a fire was started. We have since closed access to the fireplaces at the property.The gardens are absolutely lovely and instagram worthy with benches and well manicured pine trees for a peaceful evening after a long day exploring the city.Animal-free zone: This house is an animal-free zone as the host’s elderly mother & caretaker are both asthmatic and highly allergic. We have found deep cleanings are still not able to fully rid the house of animal dander after an animal has stayed. This new house is a Golden Gem. With almost 7,000 square feet of space on the upper lot two levels you will feel like you are in a palace. There is a a beautiful, new Steinway & Sons Grand Piano for those who love to play. The entire house can sleep 27 people. On the upper level, It sleeps 12 people and there is a a Victorian toddler bed that they can sleep in. In the basement, level, there are 3 additional bedrooms and a loft room.. The Basement level sleeps 13.You will have access to a very high speed internet. Large 60 inch HD televisions with 365 channels cable including HBO and the premium movie channels. You have 2 washers/dryer. There is an exercise bike. You will not have to buy a thing! Fully equipped with dishes, silverware, pots/pans, linens, towels, etc. Just bring your suitcase!The location is amazing!. It is less than a quarter of a mile to the 495 beltway. 5 minutes to get on to Route I66. 7 minutes to get on I395. There is a Bus stop 200 feet away. Safeway and H-Mark supermarkets, restaurants, and Shopping Plaza walking distance 3 blocks away. Very close to Dunn Loring Metro ( only 3.8 miles away); 12 minutes to Washington D.C.
