We are excited to bring you the newest and cutest members of The RatherShacks family: Itty Shack and Bitty Shack. The concept came to us through customer feedback, extensive research, and many drinks. Riding the successful trend of our Tiny Shack and the increased interest in smaller, affordable beachside dwelling, we crafted these twin units just for your enjoyment in their own little compound right in the middle of the rest of our Shacks. If you have been inducted into the Sumo Wrestler Hall of Fame, or your significant other can install the Christmas star atop the tree without a ladder then this is not the place for you. Each of these micro units is approximately 11ft x 12 ft and sport a queen-size bed for your comfort, and brand new tile and glass appointed bathrooms, along with funky ceiling lines and headboards. An eat–in bistro style table or Al-Fresco set of chairs outside will give you the max relax dining experience you have been searching for. A dedicated outdoor shower (one for Itty and one for Bitty) lets you wash away the sand and surf, just in time to grill the burgers at the shared community grill in the back yard. Efficiency style kitchenettes allow you to make a gourmet pot of coffee, toast that bagel, or microwave the leftovers from one of the many culinary gems our island has to offer(oh, and did we mention all this is 15 minutes from the award winning restaurants in downtown Charleston?).About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.Maximum number of heartbeats for IttyShack is 2..About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About events:No events allowed.

A *PET FRIENDLY* fully furnished, Folly Beach vacation home that's close to everything on the beach! Ocean is directly across the street - convenient access. Only 2 blocks to Folly Beach's shops, restaurants and pier. The home was specifically designed for your vacation with a vaulted great room, elevator, friendly kitchen and 4 sets of French doors spanning the front of home to maximize the view. Large front covered porch with hammock, BBQ & patio furniture. Sundeck for private sunbathing. This elevated home has a large fenced back yard that is perfect for pets. (Our Great Dane and his playmate visit in the off season and they love it!).Why this home over others at Folly Beach?: This home was specifically designed for your vacation! The owner chose the lot and house plan with your family in mind. It's on the West side of Folly Beach where there's less traffic and noise, but only 2 1/2 blocks - easy walking distance - to the restaurants, shops, pier, etc., on Center Street. The home is 2nd row with direct access to the beach. We are PET FRIENDLY and have an ELEVATOR (great for easy unpacking and settling in after a long trip - or for any guest not able to climb stairs) and a fenced in back yard. The home is also great for anyone using a wheel chair, with extra wide doors to one master bedroom, bathroom and shower. And , unlike front beach and most 2nd row homes on Folly, this home has wonderful parking. There is room for 3 cars under the home and room for 5 more cars on the driveways. Also unusual for a Folly vacation rental is the fenced in back yard. It's shaded by the house - a great place for everyone to relax out of direct sunlight.Sunbathing with sun burnt friends? You'll love our combination sun deck and covered porch. It's large enough to spread out and get just the right tan. And the trees surrounding it add some nice privacy from nearby homes. For guests who had a little too much sun, the covered part of the deck provides welcome relief. Hang out on the patio furniture or in the hammock and recuperate without missing any of the conversation! PLEASE NOTE- WE DO NOT ADVERTISE ON CRAIG'S LIST. OUR PHOTOS HAVE OCCASIONALLY BEEN USED BY BAD ACTORS TO DEFRAUD INTERESTED GUESTS. WE HAVE COORDINATED WITH CRAIGS LIST TO REMOVE THEM WHEN ALERTED BY POTENTIAL GUESTS, BUT THEY CONTINUE TO SURFACE. The Tiny Shack With a little engineering and shabby-sheik ingenuity we turned our old office and storage space into Folly Beach’s cutest efficiency unit with all brand new construction, finishes, and décor. Think small and pretty. If you are an NFL lineman and your significant other is a WNBA star this is not the place for you. It is tiny, yes, but has everything you need for the perfect getaway. You have a full size bed to cuddle close and nap after a great beach day. Watch TV on the flat screen, or prep some snacks in the kitchenette. Your bistro table is more like a corner spot at a cozy Manhattan mini bar, and you can shower in luxury in the brand new tile bath with a modern sleek glass shower that feels more like The Ritz Carlton in Fiji than TheRathershacks on Folly. The main room measures 10ft x12ft- not including the 3ft x 5ft kitchenette, 5ft x 6ft bath, and 2ft x 4ft closet. Outside the front door you have your own dedicated covered patio so you can max relax, all under the watchful eyes of a mermaid and her dolphin friends. You have a small semi-private fenced back yard where there is a grill to channel your inner Bobby Flay or Rachel Ray, and an outdoor shower to wash off the sand and sea of the day. All of this is just a 45 second walk to the beach, and 5 minutes to all the bars and restaurants Folly Beach has to offer. Small is the new big at our latest shack. You will love it!!
