You can have your cell number forwarded to the landline depending on your cell company. Cell service is available at the top of the road and various other areas including the intersection of 143 and 28 in the parking lot about 5 minutes away. **While we have internet, it is not considered high speed to enable you to work from the cabin. Cable Cove is 14 minutes away for swimming and boating at Lake Fontana. Fontana Dam and visitor center and The Nantahala Outdoor Center with white water rafting and zip line are approximately 20-25 minutes away. Hurrahs Casino is about a 35-minute drive. Groceries, beer and wine can be purchased at Ingles grocery in Robbinsville approximately 20 minutes away. Alcohol is available for purchase in Bryson City or Murphy.The road to the cabin is single lane and gravel.
