Samburu Intrepids Tented Camp

Great tented hotel. Staff were wonderful. The soft spoken waiter was so good to us. Lucy the waitress was wonderful too. Lucy the manager was on top of everything. Food excellent! Amazing place with a wonderful and caring staff. Cleo is very attentive. The food is great and everything went perfectly on our trip. The animals in the area are out of this world!

Samburu Intrepids was the best camp we stayed at during our 10-day safari. Alfred ensured our tent was clean and well maintained. The wake up calls, where he brought coffee, tea, and cookies to our tent, were the best way to start the day. To conserve energy, power is cut during the night from midnight to 5am. We brought a battery powered fan to keep us cool during the night and it worked perfectly — we slept so well here! The dining experience was next level, each meal was different and delicious. Cleo and his team, especially Julius, were attentive to our needs and multiple times went above and beyond in planning surprises for us to make our trip more memorable. The nightly talks led by the camp’s naturalist, Steve, were incredibly informative. Steve has a great knowledge base and was happy to answer any questions we had. We were able to get some laundry done for a very reasonable price and a quick turnaround. They also have a great store with very reasonable prices and a wide selection. The camp doctor was also extremely kind and helpful. During our stay I experienced an allergic reaction (due to my own actions) and the doctor quickly provided me with an effective cream to help soothe my reaction. Overall it was a phenomenal experience, our only regret is that we had to leave. We look forward to returning as soon as we can.
