We've furnished the basement as a movie/rec room, with a 65" Samsung smart TV (equipped with all the smart apps), and a full size ping pong table. Goss Lake is a community-run lake that is great for swimming, kayaking/canoeing, fishing, and more. We have a little one, and know how important it is for the basics to be in place for keeping the little ones (and ourselves) happy. If your timing is good, you can even watch whales surfacing in the bay just off the deck. The kitchen has been renovated, with stainless appliances, granite counter top, and a 180 degree water view. The large fireplace in the living room makes for a comfortable and cozy retreat. Miles of walking trails extend through the woods across the road. The charming village of Langley is a mile and a half away - a five minute drive or a walk along the beach - with shops, galleries, restaurants, and more. One highlight of the Log Castle is that the kitchen and two bedrooms are each in the eight-sided tower - try not to argue over who gets the top tower room with its phenomenal views. Fishing and swimming (especially when the tide has come in over a sunny sandbar) - make for wonderful family memories.
