Despite the uphill location that you have to walk up to the hotel entrance, the people at the entrance are very friendly and welcoming in the check-in process. The breakfast was pretty good with the selection and the waffle machine which they make for your. The room size is a bit smaller than usual but modern facilities and furniture. We were surprised that the cleaner for the second day did not really do the bedding properly where it is not straitened out with untidy folds and the coffee packs and condiments area were not tidy. Luckily the third day cleaner was better but the coffee packs and condiments were still the same state. Other than the hotel operational side, the location is very center with easy walking distance to attractions and food markets.

Hotel Location was good and the staff were friendly. Service was good and the buffet breakfast was topped up regularly. The Spa wasn’t working - so you will not be able to have a relaxing sauna after a days walking.

A top hotel, located in a quiet area and somewhat far from the center of Istanbul, the room was spacious and very clean, the receptionists and all the staff welcomed us with a sincere smile on their faces, the breakfast was more than perfect, I only wished that we could make coffee or tea ourselves because there were servants who did that.

Akgun Hotel is one of the best hotels I’ve ever experienced—extremely clean and beautiful, with friendly, polite, and helpful staff. Whenever the slightest issue arose or we needed anything, they would come right away, assist us, and fulfill our request. The breakfast is very complete, varied, and excellent. I truly recommend this hotel to everyone to experience. Thanks to the excellent management and all the hardworking, courteous staff at Akgun Hotel.

When I arrived at the hotel, they gave me a room on the -1th floor and with a double bed and no private bathroom in the room. I asked them about that and they told me that I could use the public bathroom because no one is going to use it. That bathroom was outside the room. I wanted to check the details about my reservation and it was clear that I reserved a room with a private bathroom and a single bed. I objected it and the employee said he is going to talk to his boss. They gave me another room but they acted like they are doing a favor to me. My demand was to get what I had paid. And I think the reason for all of this is because I am Turkish and not a tourist. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

Great hotel and service, but do not come here if you have a car; there is no parking. We had to park far away and pay extra money, but the guys at reception were helpful and carried our large 6 luggages from where we had parked. Hotel was clean, breakfast was decent, and location is amazing, easy walk to Topakapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Grand Bazaar.

This was the perfect place to stay for my week in Istanbul. The location was central, next to Askaray station so I was able to start several day tours from here. There are shops everywhere nearby to get whatever you need including a barber and laundry across the street. The staff was very helpful as they gave me directions anywhere I needed and even lended me the correct adaptor to charge my electronics. Breakfast was simple, but good. The room was spacious for a solo traveler with a full bathroom and plenty of storage (in case you go shopping). I would highly recommend this hotel for solo travelers in Istanbul.

This was our first spontaneous trip to Istanbul! We booked the last room 4 days in advance. But when we arrived, instead of a standard room, we were offered room 305 deluxe as a gift 😍 Since we were there for the first time, we were very worried about the location. And cleanliness was very important to us. But they exceeded all our expectations ❤️ every little detail for the convenience of visitors is thought out (caps in the shower, thread and buttons) Cleanliness is at its best!!! The view from the window is impeccable!!! The location is very good. Nearby, 2 minutes walk away, there is McDonald's, chicken, kfc and many local cafes where you can eat deliciously. And a clothing store like defacto, etc. And you can exchange currency nearby. It's a 5-minute walk to the tram and bus stop)) But despite this, the room was very quiet. No noise was heard during these 7 days. At first we even thought that there was no one in the hotel except us 😂❤️  Very cozy atmosphere)  WiFi also works very well  Every day they bring new slippers, 2 bottles of water, new towels, tea and coffee  Every 3 days they change the bed linen.  The staff is very friendly) every time they see you off and meet you with a smile ❤️ they even saw us off to the tram stop when we couldn’t find it. It’s very nice 🥹❤️  I especially want to thank Mr. Cem, Leyla 💕 Our trip with you was unforgettable. We have already started to miss them and are planning a trip at the beginning of August) ❤️❤️❤️

Good good good good good

First of all, the location was great. It is located in Eminomu, halfway between the new and old towns, and there are many restaurants nearby. The breakfast was on the rooftop with a great view, and I was very satisfied. If I had to say one thing, the hair dryer was weak, but I guess that's the same everywhere.
