Avra Beach Resort

We loved it so much here the first time we went that we have been back every year since! Cannot fault it, and always sad to leave and wanting to book the next time straightaway. Staff work incredibly hard to make sure you have a brilliant holiday, location is wonderful right on the beach and you can do as much or as little as you want to. So peaceful and relaxing.

Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel. Staff are all fabulous , really friendly from bar staff to restaurant staff and cleaners . They all work extremely hard to provide an excellent service. Was initially in room 1 in the main building very clean but a bit outdated. Unfortunately there was a water leak so we were moved into bungalow 907. Really modern new room , only issues we had was outside light shining in through toilet window so sleeping area never got dark to sleep properly. And if you have a teenager no privacy when using shower ( no door to separate bathroom area from sleeping area). food excellent in all areas ,the best we have had in years of all inclusive holidays. Sunbeds always available but best areas taken early. Pool nice with inflatables allowed and manned with lifeguard. Animation team great really friendly talking to guests all day . Special mention to Bee from South Africa. Enjoy your travels. Sea nice but some strong waves now and again . Need beach shoes as shingle and pebbles. Nothing much in local area but only 15mins from rhodes Town worth a visit , gets really hot in the old town. Would we come again , no only because lots of other places to see. Would we recommend definitely.

Well we leave tonight and I’m sad to go. Our time here has been nothing short of amazing. The hotel is beautiful the staff are lovely. We had room 911 and the view from this room is outstanding. Cleaning ladies are fantastic our room was cleaned daily and towels also refreshed daily. Entertainment staff BRILLIANT boogie is hilarious. Valeria the new girl is so lovely super polite and lovely to chat to. The only downfall is sun beds around the pool. But there is plenty of seating in and out of the sun. Thanks for a brilliant holiday Avra beach our first time in Greece has been amazing.

This is review is only about the disabled facilities within the hotel and will hopefully be of some benefit for others in a wheelchair. The hotel does NOT have dedicated accessible rooms however they do say they will try and help (?). We have always said that as long as we have a walk-in shower and seat we could get by (to an extent). What we didn’t expect was the wheelchair only just gets through the front door to the room, but no further. I had to transfer onto the bed to move around. The walk-in shower was there HOWEVER the wheelchair doesn’t fit in the bathroom door and so my husband had to get the chair we were eventually given so that I could get to the sink. We like to try and relax on the balcony but as you can see from the photos the wheelchair user cannot see out. The lift door is so heavy you would need assistance. I realise the hotel is VERY OLD but I don’t think it has the basic disabled accessibility expected from a four star hotel. Outside is very good but you cannot access the beach and the beach beds upstairs are all on pebbles (again difficult for the less able). We did mention all this to the lady who walked around asking for peoples feedback, but we’re given an excuse which turned out to be incorrect answer. There is a slope into a crowded pool but no railings to hold on to. On a positive note the morning and evening restaurant staff were great as were the staff in reception

Goodtime international is the best entertainment iv seen the team Sam, Boogie, Tibbi, Lia, Bee and Glykeria really have made our holiday so special. Lia and Glykeria did an amazing job with my kids at the kids club they really enjoyed it. Sam, Boogie, Tibbi and Bee also did other activities that catered for everyone! Aqua gym, darts, ping pong, waterpolo, bowls , football and yoga! Night time entertainment for the kids aswel as adults was fantastic! No matter what time of day the entertainment team always had the best energy and become good friends with them while there! The hotel itself is fantastic too like a 2nd home. The rooms were always clean the staff were always helpful even if we had an issue no matter what time of day they were always happy to help (broken cot at 1am) but were happy to come help and fix it. There was a young waiter who my toddler really took to and always stopped to talk and play with him. My kids were safe to roam and do there own things and help themselves to food and snacks and the food was always amazing and delicious. I really can't wait to come back next year and really hope the same entertainment team will be back coz they really have given us memories to last a life time.

Was there on two week all inclusive.Hotel is excellent all facilities rooms,bars,lounges,Pool and Beach Area and spa.Kept spotlessly clean.The food on offer was amazing with a wide variety of choice.And to top it all the staff were amazing and professional and so helpful.From Hotel reception,Dining room,Entertainment,spa and lifeguard,housemaids.Always friendly and willing to help.Myself and my partner could find no fault with this hotel and would highly recommend to anyone,families,couples,solo travellers.
