Due to extensive use the trail is packed down. At 77 yrs I have no trouble making the trek in, also caretaker /cleaning lady and repeat guests have no issue. Although if not in good physical shape I would not recommend it. Upon arrival cabin well lit, woodstove burning and cabin cozy. This modern and attractive log cabin sits high on Black Mountain (Ck out photo of location), Jackson NH. It’s surrounded by the privacy of the White Mountain National Forest. It has the feel of being in the wilderness, but minutes to civilization. On a clear night step outside and shut off the lights, you can almost touch the stars, and hear a pin drop. The privacy and spectacular views truly add to this great log cabin.The interior is handsomely furnished, 2 bedrooms, and loft sleeps 6. A granite countered kitchen which is fully equipped - garlic press to wine glasses. Wood stove fireplace is in main open concept common room area adjacent to dining, and living room areas. The lower walkout level contains a finished recreation room with flat screen/DVD, there is a large film selection.The cell signal is strong , and internet can be accessed on laptop through hot spot on cell. This Magnificent Hideaway is on The White Mtn National Forest Trail System - Bald Land Trail, East Pasture Loop, and Black Mtn Cabin groomed x country trails are right out the door. Jackson Ski Touring maintains 62 miles of groomed trails in the town. At bottom of road is completely renovated Black Mtn Downhill Slopes. Your car will be required to have four-wheel-drive in the winter or you will most definitely get stuck coming down our road.
