That alone should be reason enough. The location is also perfect for day trips to multiple waterfalls (Mingo falls, Soco falls (Clingman’s Dome), and The Biltmore. Other activities include tubing, rafting, kayaking. If you prefer shopping and gambling- there is that too (we passed both up and only stopped for a fry bread fundraiser in Cherokee- which was definitely worth it!) The kitchen is well stocked with any supplies and spices you need to make many dishes. There is also a gas grill outside. We brought just a few groceries and made pasta with marinara, grilled eggplant, grilled squash, grilled beets, black beans and rice, jackfruit BBQ, quinoa with sautéed onion/pepper, hearty oatmeal (with fruits/nuts),and key lime pie (if you need ideas). Sit outside at the table with built in fire and enjoy dinner with a magnificent view. Later soak in the lit hot tub or fire pit on a cool evening. Play board games until you laugh so hard you don’t even remember what you’re laughing it. Sleep peacefully on a comfy bed- and wake up to another beautiful Mountain View.
