Hotel Indigo Jacksonville-Deerwood Park

Good location and free parking. Full bar too. Rooms are spacious and modern. Coffee station, fridge and work station. I like it! Alas like most hotels like this it has a noisy window HVAC system so I gave it 4 stars not 5. Staff are friendly and they do breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel for work and found it to be quite a mixed experience. The hotel is situated right on a beautiful lake, offering scenic views that add to its charm. My room was very comfortable and modern, featuring a luxurious walk-in shower that made my stay more enjoyable. The on-site restaurant serves good food, making it a convenient dining option. However, I noticed that the quality of service fluctuates significantly between the morning and evening shifts. I highly recommend grabbing breakfast there, as it's consistently good. On the other hand, the bartender during the nighttime shift was somewhat rude and provided poor service, which was disappointing. Most of the front desk staff are relatively new, and I believe management should invest more in training to improve their professionalism. During my stay, I observed some front desk agents sitting on stools and playing on their phones while on duty, which was unprofessional. Housekeeping services were also inconsistent; at times, they were attentive, but at others, they could have been more thorough. Overall, while the hotel has its strengths, especially its location and comfortable rooms, there are areas—particularly service and staff training—that could benefit from improvement.

Better than expected Hotel was more upscale than expected in a pleasant way. The restaurant and Bar looked nice though didn’t eat there this time but would stay again for sure.

I stayed three nights with my wife and infant daughter while in town for business. The hotel is beautiful and has a great location. Everything is clean, fresh and modern. We had no complaints about the rooms themselves either. I was also upgraded to a lake-view room. It was the small things where Hotel Indigo failed almost every time. Upon arrival, we were only given one room key even though my wife was right beside me. She tried to go to the room with the baby and realized there was no extra key in the pouch. The luggage carts are hazardous. They are triangular in shape and have loose screws on the upright bar. It flipped over multiple times on me with only a limited load and was difficult to steer. The restaurant was okay for breakfast. As a Diamond elite member, I opted to receive free breakfast vouchers for each day of our stay. On the first day, the waitress charged me the full amount for breakfast when I tried to add tip to the room bill. The front desk corrected it but it was another hassle. My wife also had difficulty getting fresh towels and toiletries. She tried calling the front desk and could not get an answer. She happened to find someone in the hallway to help. With the pros and cons, I will not be quick to stay at Hotel Indigo again in the future.
