This home is pet friendly with a fully fenced back yard and offers partial views of the Savannah River channel and the Cockspur Lighthouse at Fort Pulaski from the roof top viewing deck. Savannah River side beach access is just 700’ away. Pets are allowed at many places on Tybee Island, but are not allowed on the beach at any time all year.The main attraction for Villa Palms home is your private one of a kind 16 x 36’ large gunite swimming pool with in pool seating at the swim up bar. You are the only one who has access to this pool, it is private to you when you rent this property. In addition to the 3 bedrooms, there are two bunk beds tucked away in a hallway, hideaway. Kids love it!!The condo is also handicapped accessible. The elevator takes you directly into the unit so there are no stairs. Our initial thought was to convert the property back to 1 whole space sans the divisions. We however soon found that to do so would involve essentially tearing the structure down and starting over as these renovations would require that we bring the building up to current code. This home is pre- 1970's and because of the nostalgia and charm of the place, we decided to leave it as is for now. Having said this, there are quirks to the property including slower drains, and some nostalgic flooring dating. to the 1970's.
