I visited during an intense period of work, seeking a mental sanity break… and that’s exactly what I got. Babu Villas offered a calm, peaceful, and genuinely restorative environment. It’s rare to find a place that feels so in tune with nature, while still offering every comfort. The vibe is environment-friendly, beautifully designed, and never intrusive. Every step of the experience was smooth and well thought out : from the moment of reservation, to the check-in, to the day-to-day interactions with your team. Everything just worked, effortlessly, and that made a big difference. The Perfect Beach Vacation This is the best villa we’ve stayed at. It’s right on Jambiani beach which is a really beautiful and calm beach (compared to Paje and those in the north such as Nungwi and Kendwa). It has only 3 villas with a pool, so there’s privacy and it’s quiet. We stayed 4 nights at the second floor villa (Bibi Juu) which had a large balcony where we had our breakfast while looking out at the Indian Ocean. Breakfast was provided by the lovely housekeeper, Rehema, and was a huge spread of eggs, fruits, different types of bread, fruit juice, granola, yogurt, coffee and milk. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Selina, the manager, provided a lot of information and readily answered all our questions. They can help you to do grocery runs and also almost anything you need like organising a bbq in the villa. There was also a security guard on the property at night who was friendly. Highly recommend Babu Villas for the perfect beach holiday in Zanzibar!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful villa hotel! Nestled right by the sea, the views were breathtaking—especially the sunrise, which was truly mesmerizing. The pool area was perfect, providing relaxation and fun for both adults and kids. The rooms were spotless, and the level of cleanliness throughout the villa was impressive. The healthy breakfast each morning was fresh and delicious, with plenty of options for everyone. The descriptions of the area and the island was perfectly explained. It really felt like a home and we enjoyed every moment with our friends and children. Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a relaxing and memorable getaway.

Our stay in October was absolutely amazing. What we loved about it: the welcoming atmosphere thanks to the team, the location direct at the beach, the pool which was a dream for the kids, the cosines of the villa furnished with love to every detail and equipped with everything necessary and useful (I loved wearing the kimono made out of the local kanga cloth) the delicious breakfast with fresh juice, good coffee, sweet & salty dishes, the various spots inviting to chill.. we haven’t used it but there is also the option to invite a chef for dinner.. together with the view and the sound of the ocean it was perfect for us. The security helped a lot with feeling save also during the night. Thanks Leonie, Selina, Rehema & the whole team who took care of us so well ❤️

Avons passé 2 jours et 2 nuits magnifiques. On aurait aimé rester plus longtemps. Les villas sont superbes face à la mer qui est sublime et le personnel adorable. Le petit déjeuner est un vrai repas complet salé et sucré avec un super jus de fruits maison. Le retour en France va être dur dur....... Polé Polé va être maintenant notre devise.

Bibi villa at Babu is a lovely heartfelt place downtown Jambiani. The view is amazing , staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast served with finesses. Spacious place where you can feel at home and being away at the same time! Private pool is the cherish on the pie!!
