This hotel was not my first choice, but the Westin had no availability. Unfortunately, the service here was lacking. Pros: Great location Spacious, modern bathrooms New property Cons: Severely understaffed; breakfast took 30 minutes to arrive. No apology offered. Staff was non-chalant when approached. Broken safe deposit box in the room No toiletries on arrival and no daily housekeeping. Had to ask three times to get basics. As a Gold Elite member, I wasn’t recognized or offered an upgrade. Overall, the service was poor and not up to Marriott’s usual standard. The property itself is nice, but the lack of service made the stay disappointing. I will not return!!

We stayed here for the Fourth of July weekend. It was probably the best stay we’ve ever had on Jekyll. We’ve stayed at almost every property on Jekyll Island. This is by far the best on the island ! They have the best staff ! The best pool and the best views on the island ! Also a great restaurant. They make you feel at home ! We cannot recommend them enough

We booked a one-night stay at the Courtyard Marriott Jekyll Island to break up a long travel day—and we’re so glad we did! We had never visited Jekyll Island before, and this hotel turned out to be the perfect introduction. The location is ideal—right in the heart of everything, with direct beachfront access, which was a huge bonus for us. We arrived early, well before check-in, and the front desk staff warmly invited us to enjoy the hotel facilities while we waited for our room. The lower level of the hotel has spacious bathrooms, so we were able to change into our bathing suits and head straight for the pool and beach. The pool area was large, clean, and very well maintained with plenty of umbrellas, lounge chairs, and a big bin of towels that made it easy to grab what we needed. The outdoor areas are truly fantastic—fire pits, plenty of comfy furniture, and cornhole boards all contributed to a laid-back and relaxing atmosphere. Since we visited on a Monday, the hotel and pool were quiet, and it felt like a peaceful little oasis. A short, scenic boardwalk takes you directly from the pool area to the beach, which was absolutely beautiful. There’s a cute bar that services the pool area, and we especially appreciated the QR codes on the tables that let you order without having to walk to the bar—such a thoughtful touch, especially for a Courtyard-brand hotel. When our room was ready, we were pleasantly surprised to learn we had been upgraded to a beachfront king room. It was spacious, spotless, and featured a large private balcony with seating and a table—perfect for soaking in the views. If I had one very small note, it would be that the room could have used a couple more towels, but we didn’t bother asking since we were only there for the night. One of our favorite parts of the stay was taking advantage of the complimentary hotel bicycles. We biked along the beautiful paved trails that wind through the beach and wooded areas, and even made our way to the charming historic village. It was a magical way to explore the island and truly the highlight of our short trip. We would absolutely return—next time with the whole family in tow. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Jekyll Island!

Hi there, I wanted to share my experience today with you. Before I arrived, I had messaged to request a titanium room upgrade. Upon check-in, I was assigned a beachfront corner room, which seemed great. However, when I got to the room, I found empty beer cans and garbage on the balcony. I immediately reported this to the front desk so they were aware. Afterward, I settled in to relax and watch television. To my surprise, the TV was extremely crooked on the wall, not securely attached and unable to be pulled out for viewing from the bed. I reported the issue to the front desk, and they assured me someone would come up to fix it. I waited over two hours, but no one arrived. Since I couldn’t comfortably watch television, I decided to go down to the pool. On my way back up, I informed Dan at the front desk that I waited over two hours and the technician had not come to fix the TV. He informed me that the technician had called the room and spoken with someone, but I’m the only person staying in this room, so that wasn’t possible. To top it off, this is a Residence Inn/courtyard property. Breakfast for Residence Inn I believe started at 6:30, but the bistro/Starbucks didn’t open for courtyard guess until 7 PM

Nice relaxing stay. Paid for an ocean view room, but if the only way to view the ocean was to contort your body to see past the neighbors partition.....FALSE ADVERTISING.

Nice It was a nice hotel. We enjoyed it. The pool was excellent. The only thing that i really did not like was that when you arrive they give you a paper stating things like when the pool is open etc. It also says under the breakfast section that if you're staying at the Courtyard by Marriott that you can see the starbucks counter during specified hours for ,"a delightful breakfast experience ". When we went to the starbucks counter and inquired ab breakfast, the girl showed us the little breakfast menu so we all got 1 thing from the menu. 4 selections. 2 of which were just breakfast sandwiches, 1 a breakfast burrito and scrambled eggs for my daughter. I don't recall seeing any pricing on the menu and the flyer should've been worded in a way to clarify that breakfast was available to be purchased at the starbucks counter because the way it was stated I had no idea that it was not free. It was $70. I paid for it & it tasted good.. but i do feel i was decieved into getting breakfast there. I just did not want to say nevermind once we ordered.. overall it was a good experience. The only other thing i really did not like was concerning the balcony with a beachview. While fine from the actual small balcony, the beach is not visible from any place inside the room and the beds are against a wall so that you have the least view of what's outside from in bed. My mother is in a wheelchair and I was hoping she could see something nice from the bed but no luck there. Was not bad though
