Jianchuan Shaxi Shanhe Residence Homestay

It was a pleasant surprise. It was very quiet. The quilt and pillow were especially comfortable. I slept until 10 o'clock. It was the most comfortable sleep I've had in recent days. If I hadn't been in a hurry to leave, I would have stayed two more nights. What was particularly heartwarming was that because there was no mosquito repellent liquid, the elders of the inn actually went out in the rain to get mosquito coils. The child said that when the mosquito coils were delivered, the grandfather was soaked all over. The child said, "Mom, I'm so touched. How can it be so nice?" The faucet in the room was also very powerful.

Facilities: Relatively complete and new, the rooms are quite large, and the ground-floor courtyard is very comfortable. Cleanliness: The rooms are very clean. Environment: About 5 minutes from Shaxi Ancient Town, easily accessible by electric scooter. Outside the town itself, it's quite quiet. Perfect for relaxing. Service: The owners are very friendly and the food is delicious. If you don't want to eat in the town, you can dine at the B&B. They offer seasonal, fresh local specialties. The matsutake chicken actually cured my menstrual cramps; it's amazing. The only downside was that we experienced a lightning outage during our first time at the B&B, and the soundproofing in the rooms was a bit lacking. While the soundproofing was fine, it was very noisy from the upstairs walks due to the wooden partitions. There were a lot of children there, and for two nights, we had to go to bed after midnight each night, following the upstairs' schedule. I'm someone who struggles to fall asleep even with the slightest noise, which was quite frustrating. Overall, I'd give it a 4.8, but the 0.2 points are deducted for the noisy children and the soundproofing. Overall, it was very comfortable.

The yard is beautiful, with pastoral scenery. It is very close to Shaxi Ancient Town and convenient for parking if you drive.

The entire B&B is elegantly designed, comfortable, and cozy, and the housekeeping service was excellent! The room was spacious and bright. 🤩 The bedding was very comfortable, and the children said it felt like sleeping at home. The projection was excellent! The housekeeper suggested stargazing from the rooftop, and we were lucky enough to see a sky full of stars. The breakfast was delicious, and everyone agreed that the rice noodles made by the aunt were the best of our Yunnan trip. We made a last-minute decision to visit Shaxi, only planning one night, but we'd definitely stay more in the future.

As a person with poor sleep quality, I slept here until dawn. The intelligent voice control system is also very considerate, easy to operate, and very modern. There are many small ideas in the homestay. The "blank" check-in point at the entrance of the stairs is a field background with a casual shot, which is very artistic. The small garden in the atrium is also very pleasant. You can sit in the sun, watch fish and flowers, and slowly feel the feeling of time slowing down. The boss and the boss lady are very hospitable and provide rich and delicious breakfast! Overall, it is a very healing stay experience. It is recommended for people who want to relax and stay away from the hustle and bustle to stay here for a few nights. You will really be reluctant to leave.

The newly opened shop has a very beautiful and large courtyard. One afternoon, I spent my afternoon sitting on the swing in the courtyard, just daydreaming and reading. The boss's rice noodles and Ersi silk are delicious. He helped me book a car to Lijiang. Thank you very much. I will stay here again next time I come. It is very close to the ancient city and is surrounded by pastoral scenery. It is very quiet at night and you can listen to the frogs croaking.
