Hotels in Tianfu International Airport/Jianyangnan Railway Station, Chengdu

The hotel is right inside the airport, just a 10-minute walk to T2. This was incredibly convenient for us, especially with an early connecting flight. They even have self-service baggage drop machines downstairs, which is such a thoughtful and efficient touch. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and provided professional, effective assistance with airport inquiries. The room was clean, and once the windows were closed, there was absolutely no noise. We even had views of the terminal building and planes. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next layover at Tianfu Airport.

Chose Holiday Inn because it was one of few hotels in Changdu to offer Non-Smoking Rooms. And the guaranteed 1600 check out time since our flight ETD was 1825. Alas the experience is less than stellar. First was the weird request to reserve the free airport pick up at least 2hrs in advance! Luckily, I asked our guide to do the reservation and he told us to meet the shuttle at T1 4F door 21 around 1825. The shuttle did arrive at 1828. The check in lady spoke good English, honoured our 1600 late checkout, advised and booked us to depart the hotel on their 1500 shuttle upon hearing our international flight was 1825. Room is pretty standard for 4 star Chinese hotels - with a dizzying array of switches and the usual modern looking shower with impractical features - no place to put your towels within easy reach while showering. It is not the worst though. Hotel is in a cluster of hotels around a 'food street' that was pretty sad state with little food and dining traffic. We opted to eat at the food stalls set up just across the road from the hotel. Hotel breakfast did have some western food but NO butter in the toast bread section! Due to it's distant location, we opted not to take a 2h public transport to Chengdu central but went to the central of the Jianyang satellite town that the hotel was in. Took 30min and 2 CNY pax. The other difficulty was trying to get back to hotel. The hotel doesn't show up in Amap or Didi app! Luckily, Amap does have the next door Ji Hotel which worked to guide us back.

The airport hotel didn’t disappoint. I stayed at the joy hub cheers hotel once and I was impressed. This time I decided to try joy hub air (the supposedly more premium brand), and I’m even more impressed. For the price it offers, this is utter amazing value. The service was very amicable. The first room I was given had a weird smell and the bedsheets were damp. I called in an they immediately offered to change room. I even got an upgrade. The room was huge and spacious, plus it’s really clean. You can check out the photos. Furthermore, the breakfast selection is by far the best I had in chengdu. Not only is the selection wide, from Chinese to international, the ingredients are good too (usually I look at the salad’s cabbage section to gauge the quality, this one is thoroughly washed and fresh!) Nitpicking, the bakery section is a bit cold. I raised this point in the joy hub cheers review and it’s the same here. Last but not least, the location is superb. 10min walk to either T1 or T2, you can’t ask for more.

Earplugs: Because it's close to the airport, planes often fly by, so earplugs are provided in the room. Locke Platinum Gift: A box of fruit was given upon check-in. While not particularly fancy, it was fresh, washed, and delivered to the room. Takeout was delivered by a robot. Service: Excellent, a huge thumbs-up. First, there's a shuttle to the airport. The staff were very considerate, including a case for my ID card. So many small touches made me feel comfortable and heartwarming. The most touching moment was when I checked in, I was feeling emotionally unstable and inconsolable because of something I was dealing with. The staff came to ask if I needed help. Upon realizing I was a woman (there were originally two men), they sent the front desk lady to comfort me. She was incredibly considerate, bringing me candy and listening to my thoughts. They were all very kind people. I highly recommend this hotel. 👍👍👍

I've stayed at Tianfu International Hotel several times now, primarily because of its convenient location just a 15-minute drive from the airport. The hotel also provides a dedicated shuttle bus service to and from the airport. The lobby is very grand and opulent. The front desk staff were highly professional and welcoming, even personally escorting me to my room door. The hotel boasts extensive grounds, featuring a massive courtyard. Naturally, the environment is superb, and it caters to all your dining and shopping needs. The rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms feature a separate wet and dry area, the bedding is plush, and the air conditioning keeps the room pleasantly cool. The breakfast absolutely lives up to five-star standards. I will certainly continue to choose Tianfu International Hotel for all my future trips to Chengdu.

This hotel was perfect for my stay near Tianfu International Airport—spotlessly clean rooms, super comfortable bed, great showers, and kind, professional staff. The free shuttle made getting to the airport effortless, and the location couldn’t be better with restaurants nearby. For the price, it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone with an early flight, overnight layover, or quick stop—it has everything you need!

Highlights first: A huge shout-out to Front Desk Manager Sky Wang! He displayed utmost professionalism, proactively upgrading me to a deluxe room (which was new, quiet, and had a thoughtfully stocked minibar). As I checked in close to midnight and most restaurant staff had finished their shifts, he went above and beyond to get me ice. His genuine dedication and warm service were truly impressive. A serious, undeniable flaw, however: On the second day morning shift, an older female front desk staff member (who didn't introduce herself) exhibited an extremely poor attitude. This completely ruined my overall stay. Such service is utterly unacceptable for any five-star hotel!

The Comfort Travel Hotel under Accor is in a good location, not far from TOD, so it is very convenient to order takeout, especially Starbucks and other complex restaurants. There is also a special library in the east next to it, which is within walking distance. The hotel decoration is very distinctive, featuring pandas and coffee. Parking is convenient and you can get to the lobby as soon as you get off the car. We chose a loft room. House keeping helped us to give us extra quilts and pillows. With simple modifications, the sofa on the first floor can be converted into a big bed for the children, and the two adults can sleep on the second floor with peace of mind. Breakfast is definitely a highlight, 29.9 yuan for one more person. I recommend everyone to try the tan and wonton below, which is completely at the level of a store. Overall, it is a hotel worth staying in.

I stayed in Chengdu for a few hours while transiting. The place was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a bus pick-up, which was very convenient. The front desk service was very good. I had an early flight in the morning and the front desk also provided breakfast.

I stayed here for a layover overnight, but access to things made it a challenge. The complex is still too new. There’s a few hotels there. I also feel it was poorly lit. Taxi access was a challenge. I fell in the dark area outside. The gift shop was nice down the street. Food delivery required going down the street by the shuttle, so bringing bags was not easy. I tried three times for a Didi. The landscape is nice, but I have no idea why that airport area is not better developed or why it is so dark around there.
