Nice ambience with complimentary breakfast. Rooms were nice and clean, right in the middle of Mount Austin central area.

Check-in staff is friendly and process is a breeze. You'll need to provide RM50 cash deposit upon check-in and will get it back upon check-out. Hotel's guests can also leave their bags with the hotel for security as they go for an extended day out after check-out.
The queen room with window was relatively clean upon checking in. Window faces the roofs of the adjacent shophouses - nothing much to see. Didn't like that the sink is outside the toilet and no bar soap for washing hands is provided. Mould can be found around the toilet on tiles with a mild smell but tolerable.
As a deep sleeper, hotel soundproofing is considered bad. The singing from the bottom karaoke didn't even stop until 4:45am on a Monday morning. The singing travels just soft enough to still have you guess what song is being played. You can even hear the next door plugging their electronics against the wall and people's conversations outside the room's door. Mattress and pillows are clean and soft, however not comfortable to sleep on but this ultimately is just personal preference.
The hotel occupies the top 3 floors of the building while restaurants and karaoke are on the bottom floors. Lots of trending eateries around the area - short walk away.

Location is great, walking distance to cafes & restaurants. Checkin and checkout of hotel room were fast. Room is cozy except toilet has some stains. Lacking facilities as there are no mini fridge and safe box. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and will definitely come back on our next JB trip.

Friendly and bubbly staff Fiqah. Had a nice stay over for 3D2D at Hako hotel. Great atmosphere and venue was convenient to access to any other places. Mins walk to every corner for food and 7-11. Room are cleaned when we checked in. Comfy bed and the bathroom water pressure is awesome 🤪 definitely will book with hako hotel again! 👍🏻

We stayed at the hotel for one night. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is near restaurants and eateries. There are massage and wellness spas within walking distance too. Great, no-frills place to stay over when staying over at Mount Austin.

Staff were friendly and check-in was quick. Wi-Fi was strong and reliable. There’s no in-house dining, but plenty of food options nearby, which was convenient.
The hotel is in a strategic location, close to shops and eateries.

Stayed at Hako Hotel for 2D1N,
Receptionist unfriendly. Room still alright, however maintenance is not there. Can tell that the room is starting to ware out. Parking extremely hard as well as beware of double park. Might block your car from exiting.
Just that this hotel is located in the heart of mount austin.
