We did the 6 day combined tour (4 days jungle, 2 days pampas) in January 2025 and it was the highlight of our 4 month trip across South America. Our guide Luis was extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain everything well in English. Our cook Brian also made this trip memorable with his good food and funny demeanour. My girlfriend is vegetarian and they did a great job accommodating that. In the jungle we were able to see the 5 different types of monkeys in that region, a Tapir during a night walk, lots of Macaws, countless interesting insects, and tons more I'm forgetting. In the pampas we saw Black Caymens, Capybara, more monkeys, and a pink dolphin. The only negative part of the experience was that the cabin we stayed in at the Pampas had bats living in the ceiling. I was worried we would be doing this tour at a bad time of year (rainy season) but a combination of luck and the fact that it doesn't rain there as much as it used to, we only had 2 days of rain out of 6. For anyone considering a trip to the Amazon from Rurrenabaque I highly recommend Mashaquipe for ethical and safety reasons. They hire locals who grew up in the area which is now the national park so they are supporting the local economy. One of the days we were in the jungle it was 34 degrees celsius out and another group from a different company stumbled upon our camp and looked exhausted and suffering from heatstroke. It turns out they had taken the wrong turn and gotten lost but our guide gave them water and pointed them in the right direction. We're glad we could trust our guide even though it might've meant paying a bit more than other companies.

We did a combined "Jungle and Pampas" tour and had unforgettable days. The tour was very well organized, our guide gave us deep insights into culture and nature, the food was excellent and we were able to experience this unique nature up close. At the same time, care was taken to treat the unique flora and fauna in a respectful and environmentally friendly manner. Thank you very much for this great experience!

Mashaquipe overall were brilliant, accommodation was decent, food was great and generally plentiful. The guide I had was fine but I could see everyone else’s guides going above and beyond. Better communication on what the activities would be each day and any options, where available, would have been good. It wasn’t always clear where we were going or what we were looking for. I still really enjoyed my time in the Pampas and Selva, it was amazing to be so close to the wildlife!

We went on a 6 day jungle/pampa tour. Our guide, Yomar, was amazing and fantastic with our children (aged 9 and 11) - an absolute wealth of knowledge. The sights and animals were amazing. The lodgings were comfortable (not luxurious but great for the location) and the food was great. The whole company was super professional, everything was on time and went smoothly. Highly recommend this company (and Yomar!)

We did a 3 Day combi trip to the jungel and the Pampas. It was an amazing tour, the nature, the accomendation, the guide, the food, everything. We especially appreciated the focus on the protection and connection to the indigenous people and the nature. It was not a only money-focused tourist agency. We definitely recommend it!

Trip was amazing. Office was welcoming, guide and camp staff the same and more, food great and wildlife viewing extraordinary. The staff goes out of its way to ensure all is going well with its guests and the itinerary is jam packed - definitely get one's money worth. Relaxing it is not as one goes from a car, to a boat tour, to a car ride to a lagoon to see the sunset, to dinner, than a nighttime Caimen sighting and up the next day for a sunrise viewing and then an walk through the jungle in our case to find Anacondas. Saw a sloth enroute to camp, dozens of Caimens, Tortugas. Caybara's,some Pink river Dolphins and plethora of bird species ranging from Swallows to Egrets to Eagles and more. Highly reccomend.

Los Tortugas is extremely comfortable, with very good food and great wildlife straight out of the door. Mashaquipe are utterly brilliant. Particular thanks to Wilmar who organised a special itinerary to suit our particualr interests in locating the endemic titi monkeys in the area (as well as seeing the more typical mammals of the area like stunning views of the pink river dolphin) - and despite the road conditions and weather everytghing ran like clock work thanks to him and his organisational efforts. Jhomar (our guide) had brilliant eyes and great enthusiasm and was always looking out for us. Would highly recommend!

The trip altogether was an amazing experience that I will never forget. The guides are all super friendly, the food is exceptional and the accommodation is so lovely, as a backpacker myself it felt like luxury! The guide Domingo who I was lucky enough to have is full of knowledge about the jungle and pampas + he is a true pure sole and you can tell he wanted us to have the best time of our lives, full of jokes and his happy, good spirits are contagious ;)

Highly recommended! We did a 3 day jungle tour. Awesome landscape, nice vegetation. Guides very helpful and knowledge about medicine, nature and animals! Don’t expect to see allot of wildlife, this is the Amazonas jungle. For wildlife it’s much better to visit pampas or go to pantanal, Brazil. Still we saw plenty of birds, frogs, snakes, spiders, monkeys and some prints from tapirs and Ozelots. If you stay in the jungle lodge, there is everything. If you going to spend a night in a jungle camp, don’t expect luxury. But a nice outdoor experience!
