Reef House Resort

Reef House Resort on tiny Oak Ridge Cay was lovely and quiet. Our room had an ocean view and a porch swing often shared with a friendly white cat. The shallow, rock-lined pool in front of the bar is great for snorkeling and floating. Our last night, the bartender said we knew the menu and didn't have to get out; what would we like for dinner? We chose Reef House for uncrowded diving, and it was spectacular. We walked to the boat with all the gear set up, then cruised through turquoise water for about 10 minutes. We dropped over the edge of a wall covered in colorful creatures, surrounded by endless blue; then repeat.

Our stay at Reef House felt comfortable rather than visiting somewhere for the first time. The room was rustic but most of our time was spent at the bar and in the natural pool relaxing. The food was delicious and the drinks cold. The dive master and boat captain were extremely knowledgeable and patient with us as new divers. They reinforced safety, diving skills and shared information about the beautiful reefs, wildlife and island history. Take Deep Woods Off and water shoes.

The Reef House Resort is AWESOME My wife and I could not be happier with our recent 11 night stay at the Reef House. The location's scenery was AMAZING, the resort was quite, no barking dogs, no traffic noise, no loud hotel guests, etc. The resort's atmosphere was chill, relaxing and peaceful. The AC was ice cold, the shower water was plentiful and hot! The food was all made onsite and was simply fabulous. The owners, Davy and Dilcia were warm, caring and extremely helpful. Keith and Tiffany attended to our every need from ordering food to keeping us hydrated to local Roatan history and all things sightseeing! The maid and cooks were all upbeat, cheery and a delight to talk with. The family cat was super cool and Polly the parrot talked and laughed right along with all of us! If everything we are describing matches your traveler profile, you will not find a better place to stay in Roatan than the Reef House!
