We stayed in the train carriage, it was really a unique place to stay. Very comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. The property is far enough into the country so that you can see the stars at night! Yet, close enough to Kiakoura, by car, to enjoy all the activities that the area offers. We had a great time there and would recommend the property, there's a room to suit all tastes.

We stayed in the Yurt, it was a awesome experience as we are a family of 5, it was quite spacious and warm despite the cold weather. Kevin was lovely and accommodating. They had times where the kids get to feed the animals and they loved it and family friendly.

This is a very unique place to stay and extremely creative in construction and layout. All of it fantastic. We were so excited and loved showing the videos of this fun place to our families back in Canada. The hosts are outgoing, funny, and very informative concerning the animals. Feeding is a must actiity. All in all, a great place to stay for all ages.

Very unique experience. We stayed at the train carriage. It’s got everything you need inside. We even did cooking for our dinner. Kevin was so kind that he shared his free range eggs with us. The kids also enjoyed learning about the history of this train carriage. We wish we could have stayed a bit longer for the farm animal feeding. Well, next time!

Great for a family. Great experience of feeding the animals. Kevin is very informative about animal welfare and behaviour. Themed accommodation worth the experience. Children get a chance to feed the animals, and get to have a close encounter with the animals

Fantastic to stay on a working farm in a yurt. The yurt was cosy even in the rain and cold, with a private toilet and shower in a out house right next to the yurt. Kevin invited us to feed the animals in the morning and the afternoon when we stayed. He has ducks chickens sheep pigs dear llama and alpaca to feed, which my daughter really enjoyed.

Relaxing stay, feeding tour with the animals was our sons favorite, outdoor cooking all in the comfort of a covered wagon. If you’re tired of being at crowded and noisy hotels, this is the place to be. If only we’d had a clear night to look at the stars. This is the perfect place to unplug.

What an amazing place. Definitely quirky and wacky but comfortable as well. We love the slightly off beat (especially if it's comfortable!) and this fitted the bill beyond our expectations. We stayed two nights in the yurt and absolutely loved it. It was super comfortable (especially the large bed) and very spacious with all the features you could reasonably expect in such a structure - plus some! We had been a bit concerned that the separate bathroom would be an issue but it was no problem at all and all ours - so no sharing with anyone else. There are great views of the mountains (weather permitting of course). and meeting and feeding the various animals on the little farm was an added bonus as well as being a lot of fun thanks to the friendly staff. The farm is a bit out of town which helps with the peace and quiet of the location but it's a very easy and quick drive.
