You have a wonderful view of the gorge, which blooms all year round, and also of the sea. The peaks of the White Mountains can be seen in the distance. Chania, the former capital of Crete, is considered the most beautiful city on the island and is only 10 km away. Swallows soar into the bright blue sky above the semicircle of large Venetian houses that surround the postcard-beautiful Old Port. The tables of countless bars and restaurants line the quay. On request, your rental car will be waiting for you at the airport. Alternatively, you can fly to Heraklion, today's capital of Crete. From here a bus goes to Chania every 30 minutes, it takes about two hours to walk the very beautiful route along the coast. If you wish, you can also hire a car from Heraklion airport or the bus station in Chania. Another option is to fly to Athens. From here there is a flight to Chania six times a day, it takes 45 minutes. From Athens you can also take a short sea trip and take the ferry to Souda. The ferry takes about eight hours, and from Souda you can be in the apartment in a quarter of an hour by taxi or rental car.
